The overall course is good but I found it less detailed. It is not super easy to start making portraits after this. But other aspect is that it is art and it takes lot of practice.

Was good way to gently start portrait painting. I understand portraits to be a difficult life-long undertaking (to approach realism), so the methods used here make things simpler (sketch/trace first, then use vibrant colors to get the values, have fun, finishing in an abstract portrait).

Although I have some art experience, painting a portrait in blues, greens, reds and yellows really intimidated me at first! I used my daughter as the model, and just had to trust that I could learn it. Cant wait to try more.
