Course Description
If you are a Power BI administrator, then welcome to the only course on Udemy dedicated entirely to Power BI administration within the broader Microsoft Fabric platform.
Most Power BI courses are aimed at report developers. But what if the buck stops with you? What if you’re the person responsible for controlling how Power BI is used and implemented within your organization? If that’s the case, then this is the course for you.
This training is designed for Fabric administrators who manage Power BI, as well as Power Platform admins and Microsoft 365 admins who share responsibilities for data governance and analytics services.
Effective Power BI administration and data governance are critical to a successful deployment across your organization. As part of Microsoft Fabric, Power BI integrates with a suite of data services, making governance even more essential to ensure consistent, high-quality data and smooth collaboration.
This course provides the framework necessary to successfully integrate Power BI into your corporate environment. You’ll learn how to configure key tenant settings and set up various options in the Power BI service according to best practices.
There are no special prerequisites for this course; however, a basic understanding of Power BI fundamentals is recommended.
The Power BI administrator role (now part of the Fabric Administrator role) comes with a wide range of responsibilities. This course is designed to equip administrators with the knowledge and confidence to fulfill their role effectively and ensure a smooth Power BI implementation within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.

lack of practical examples for tenant settings sections. Most video modules are showing versions of the power bi web interface that are years out of date. Many tenant features have been added recently that are not covered at all in the reference section. Still a good general primer for the basics of administrating power bi/fabric

It is an amazing course and did cover what I would like to know as a PBI Admin. I would definitely recommend it to others to learn the basics of a PBI Admin. However there are some UI and features of PBI that are outdated by now, e.g. how excel upload has now changed. Also sharing real-world use case for some of the features mentioned would be easier to understand the whys and hows.

I found the content of the training to be highly relevant, well-structured, and comprehensive. It covered the key concepts thoroughly and was easy to follow. However, I do have one suggestion for improvement. Throughout the course, there were often translucent images layered over others, even when no visual aid was necessary. This was distracting and didn’t add value to the learning experience. I believe it would be more effective to remove the transparency and display only one clear image or video at a time. On a lighter note, I had a good laugh when I saw people helping themselves at a buffet and realized the topic was about a self-service business intelligence tool. That moment definitely stuck with me!

"This course taught me a lot! I didn’t know you could create apps in Power BI, and I really appreciated learning about the importance of security, compliance, and flexibility. The section on workspace administration was especially helpful."

This course is an excellent fit for individuals seeking a career in Power BI. While many Power BI courses emphasize DAX and dashboarding, interviewers often prioritize candidates with strong Power BI administration skills. We recommend developing a course that integrates Power BI with the Azure ecosystem to address this market need.

Fue una buena elección realizar este curso en mi caso que tengo como objetivo desplegar PowerBI en mi organización. Hay muchas funcionalidades que no tengo disponible configurar al no ser administrador del tenant pero ahora al menos sé que existen.

Best overview on PBI administration concepts. it's really helps to get familiar with basic admin activities. Really appreciate if you release latest version of admin content by deep dive into it with latest features . Thanks :)

Course design structure is well and easily understandable with examples and excel sheets and pbix sheets and moreover easy to practice also. All the sections are explained well and with this I have understood and able to move up towards course and learn by hands on training.

Finally a course about Power BI Administration! This was missing for too long to complete portfolio of Power BI courses on Udemy. Thanks. The course is great, covers all needed from Tenant Settings to Gateways and more. Just one thought - I personally think the complementary and background graphics and videos could be bit more decent. It was disturbing with too much things going on the screen at the same time.
