What you will learn
- Develop web applications using C# and Blazor
- Use Azure DevOps to deploy Blazor apps
- Create a Database using Entity Framework Core
- Create a user system that uses roles
Course Description
Blazor is a Microsoft technology that allows us to make interactive web applications with C# without using JavaScript.
In this course we will learn to develop web applications with Blazor.
Throughout the course we will create an application applying what has been learned.
We will go from the basics to the advanced. We will create forms, components, entities, relations with our entities, and user system with roles and more.
We will use an ASP.NET Core 5 application to serve our Blazor project, and with Entity Framework Core 5 we will create our database.
In the end, we will use Azure services, such as Azure App Service and Azure DevOps, to publish our application to production.
This is some of the things that we'll learn in the course:
- Creating a new Blazor project
- Review Razor syntax
- Learn how to work with components
- Reusing code using components
- Pass parameters to components
- Execute events from components to send messages to the parent component
- Use dependency injection
- Invoking JavaScript code from C#
- Invoking C# code from JavaScript
- Use routing to allow users to navigate in our page
- Building forms with validations
- Communicate from the front-end to the back-end using HTTP
- Creating a database and interacting with it using Entity Framework Core
- Creating a user system so that users can log in our app
- Deploy our web app into a production environment

Great course. "Only" 16 hours of lectures, but it is jam pack with valuable information, well organized and very comprehensive. It explains in great details the concepts, architecture & mechanics of Blazor applications, and shows how all moving parts fit together. In addition, it touches on many aspects of .Net programming, like Identity, EF and Azure. A lot of stress it put on good programming practices, avoid repetitions, and code reusability. The Dual-Architecture project, albeit somewhat complicated, enforces good design decisions and shows how to handle multi-project solutions.

Despiste the instructor is knowledgeable on the subject, he constantly forgot things and returned back to add / correct something, and he did it fast speeding so there is a point where it becomes irritating because he makes you comeback and erase, re-type and this happens over and over which makes me think that in most cases, he preferred to leave the hassle of giving confusing material than the hassle of taking the time to edit and correct the videos.

An entertaining and well rounded course covering the fundamentals of Blazor and programming in general. Knowing how to migrate code between templates will be useful also if I ever happen to choose the wrong Blazor template for a project. I can now write both web assembly and server apps for my enterprise using this reference. Thank you.

The course covers the necessary content. It can jump around quite quickly from section to section / page to page which means i often have to rewatch videos to follow what he is referring to when he switches between pages and sections- That said I seemed to have learned a lot so it works if you stick with it. Also, the instructor Felipe makes himself available to help - he's very helpful!

I got so much out of this. It covered a lot more than just the basics of using Blazor. It covered a lot of good web application development practices for C# .NET Core. I gained a better knowledge of using Identity with Blazor, Dependency Injection, and the recently added Localization module that taught how to utilize .NET Core's Localization features with Blazor. Masterfully taught. Great course. Highly recommended!

Fast and very systematic. Expert quality! Impressive is the dual architecture created. The best Blazor tutorial I enjoyed so far. And what is fantastic as well is that the example project works at my home without trouble (working proof of concept). My compliments to Filipe, for this and his other helpful contributions to my abilities and understanding of Internet programming from basics to pro.

Crumbs! Only halfway? I have just finished lesson 67. Creating Movies and I have to admit that things are getting a bit tricky now. That is good thing! Things are being covered that will be needed in a real website. I will certainly need to do a lot more research before I even begin to understand everything up to this point but at least I now know what I need to know. Other courses that have come across have just scratched the surface and serve only as a very basic introduction. In my opinion, most are utterly useless and only really cover things that could easily be found on YouTube or the Blazor home pages. So far, I am very happy that I bought this course and feel a lot more confident that I will eventually be able to create my own Blazor websites. OK - I have finished the course now. I must say that, I have to agree with some others that it was far to fast in places. Very few can concentrate that hard. After a while the voice just faded into the background and I started daydreaming. This could have been an absolutely brilliant course if the pace was slowed right down. I was slightly disappointed that the promised last course was not available but that's life. On the whole I was pleased by the course. OK that's all I have to say.

One of the best online courses I've ever taken (and I've taken a few !). Felipe has built an awesome, progressive, concise yet complete, series of modules which unveil the ins and outs of Blazor. The project used along the course is realistic enough to allow illustrating the common problems faced in web developement. 5 star++ amazing work

I really enjoyed the course. I didn't realize how much was covered until I stopped to look back at the volume of code artifacts that exist in the solution. I enjoyed Felipe's style. The only constructive feedback would be the speed at which we went through the deployment section and the unnecessary addition of Azure as a whole. Although interesting enough as a quick glimpse into Azure, the very small usage of it did not really add to the primary subject matter of Blazor. Thank you, Felipe, for an enjoyable and educational course.

I have liked this course so much. Very deep insight into blazor web assembly, well organized, clear and detailed. Exceptional technical content (patterns, componentization, reuse of code). 100% recommended to who wants to learn Blazor webassembly. The final section on deployment is the cherry on the cake, very interesting especially the continuous delivery with Azure DevOps. The instructor Felipe is always available to answer to questions and this is very important for a course. The English is perfect. Thanks to Felipe for this great course.
