Augmented Reality is the future
Augmented reality (AR) is the real-time use of information in the form of 3D models, text, graphics, audio and other virtual enhancements integrated with real-world objects. It is this “real world” element that differentiates AR from virtual reality. AR integrates and adds value to the user’s interaction with the real world, versus a simulation.
Augmented reality starts with a camera-equipped device—such as a smartphone, a tablet, or smart glasses—loaded with AR software. When a user points the device and looks at an object, the software recognizes it through computer vision technology, which analyzes the video stream.
Pioneering organizations, including GE, Mayo Clinic, and the U.S. Navy, are using AR to improve productivity, quality, and training. By combining the strengths of humans and machines, AR will dramatically increase value creation.
Though still in its infancy, AR is poised to enter the mainstream; according to one estimate, spending on AR technology will hit $60 billion in 2020.

This was a great course for absolute noobs like me. I was able to follow along and quickly mimic the instructor. From there I was able to implement my own ideas using the instructors framework. Great class!

Left out some important steps, especially since sdk apps are continuously changing versions. He needs to explain what might change if the version of Android or Java changes, and better what to do during install.

I really like the way everything is explained slowly and thoroughly enough. It's easy to follow and understand. The instructor is also funny which makes it a pleasure to be part of

Pros: Perfect course for a beginner to intermediate person who wants to create the apps shown in the introductory videos. All the required information is provided from start to finish for each app. Cons: Personally, I like each tutorial video to start from the beginning to end. However, if you are quick learner and want to skip to the fin part of each app development, you may need to skip the introductory video for each app. I don't see this as a con but to each his own!

This is a superb course which delivers, it walks the talk. I learnt how to make some amazing apps. Gaining knowledge on how to make the AR book and business cards were key for me. Ignore the 1 or 2 negative ratings, they have no idea what they’re talking about. I completed the app challenge in 7 minutes:)

Good Course for beginner, however the pace of the course is very fast and repetitive. Instructor could have cover other concepts more in depth rather creating all app(excluding one) using image target.
By Evan Mackenzie on 12/31/2017
The course seemed rushed and some important things were briefly explained but difficult to follow. For example, setting up Unity for Android build. Also, the example exercises were quite poor in quality, which makes the course less interesting. The instructor was fine, no issues there, but I think more care should be taken for better explanations and on screen display of the UI and setup.

The course has provided me with the foundations necessary to build great AR Apps on my own. I completed the challenge of creating an AR App in just 7 minutes and 27 seconds :-) Thanks Ray!
