React Node Stripe MongoDB MERN Stack Subscription App (Udemy.com)

Very nice presented and a good project to work on. A deployment of this app to Hostinger would be very beneficial for all of us. Would you do such a tutorial?

Amazing course. No mambo-jambo, straight to the point. I'll just like to highlight that it is important that the student knows the BASICS of React, Node.js and MongoDB but doesn't have to be an expert in order to appreciate this course at its fullest. I was new to the MERN stack and this course was my first contact with it. Never worked with Stripe also. For me, it was awesome, I've learned a lot. The instructor is pretty knowledgeable on the subject and provides the best practices on the matter. However, I would've appreciate if there was some more fine tuning of the middleware on the backend, like adding rate limiting, XSS prevention with addition of security headers and middleware for sanitization. Overall, a great course. Highly recommended!

The course conveyed what I wanted, but it had some problems because it is outdated and uses dependencies that don't work... I had to adapt it and it was a lot of work. Furthermore, it does not show the uses of the Webhook that are essential for monitoring and updating the subscription state within the application.

Exceptional course. I would recommend, the instructor was clear and concise in his teaching and I achieved exactly what I wanted to achieve out of this course. I would also reiterate what some reviews have already stated. This course if VERY practical and makes application easy for it's students.

The project is not very well implemented. The teacher doesn't seem to know how to properly code. He doesn't even use webhooks and it is one of the main things you use when you use stripe. The subscription data that is stored in the database is not in sync with the data that is stored in stripe because if you cancel a subscription the subscription will not be deleted from the database.

This course is ok but incomplete. The hardest part in a subscription app is handling web hooks to automatically update subscriptions status according to events. Unfortunately web hooks are not included in this course, thus you will need to look for other tutorials to have a complete solution.

Great course! I did not do the subscription app the course went through, but followed along with a different app I was working on for a client and got up and running in Stripe with no problems. The only suggestion I would have would be to show the deployment process to at least one hosting service (Firebase, AWS, Heroku, something).

This course detailed and provided exactly what it promised. At the end of this course, you will have a basic, yet fully functioning, Stripe subscription app with authorization. I do recommend coming into this course with foundational knowledge in React as the concepts/syntax are not explained, but again this course provides Stripe subscription detail as opposed to an elementary introduction to MERN. Overall, very happy with this course and the final product that I achieved!

Always excellent - thorough and up to date .. much better than many others. Also, this is the 4th course I have taken from him... I use his code all the time, really like his organization and always find his classes awesome!

I have been taking Ryans' other courses as well. He is very knowledgeable and a very capable instructor. He is my number one recommended instructor for full stack development
