Course Description
This first Course of the series, is Purely about Mechanical Machine Design.
You cannot apply Machine & Industrial Automation Control And Monitoring, without having a Machine to control in the first place!
That's what this course is about, getting you introduced to :
1. What are all of those moving parts we see in Industrial Machines
2. What types of production lines can those parts actually make.
Welcome to you in the first course of the five Courses Series about Robotics, Mechatronics and Industrial Automation.
In this first Theoretical course you will learn about:
Shafts, Pulleys, Gears, Belts, Bearings, and all of those moving parts
Sizing Machine Motors according to the mechanical load
Machine manufacturing materials like Stainless steel and Plastics
Conveyor systems design theory and Conveyor types
Single/Three Axis Linear Motion systems design theory
Storage systems and Discharge
Feeding systems in assembly lines and their Types
End Effectors for Milling and Pick and place applications
Most famous industrial Robotics
Algorithm used to Control Industrial Robotics
A sum it all study case
And tons of Quizzes!
Why should you learn Machine Theory and Industrial Design?
Tons and tons of tutorials are out there teaching about Control, Electronics and Machine Programming.
But the courses actually talking about the bones of all of this is almost never existence. I'm here to introduce you to the basics of Mechanical Systems used In Industrial and Manufacturing Environment.
What to expect after completing this Course?
Have a foundation about mechanical parts
Be able to brain storm to design new machine
Understand the different types of Production Lines
Be able to identify production line and parts by sight
This is course #1/5 in the Robotics & Mechatronics Series. The purpose of this series is to be able to design machines, control them, Digital Twin them, and then actually build them!

This course was very well put together. I loved the tests that you had to complete. This course was very informative giving me the confidence to transition into this new career field, looking forward to the other two courses.

This course really equipes you with the necessary basic mechanical components used I almost every machine, as a Mechanical Designer student, I really appreciate how the explain the use of every components, machine, Robot and why use one over another. the real application videos really give us more insights on how the machines or robot are function and are been runned.

Already a working Mechatronics professional without a degree, and I'm looking for credible "certification" that I'm fluent in the basics to back up my skills. As someone who already has so.e Mechatronics knowledge I feel qualified to say that so far this has been a thorough and easy to follow course.

The instructor is really clear, the slides of the course are attractive and it showcases a good overview of the main machinery used on some production lines. However, I find it a little too basic. There are little to no calculations involved and like some said in the reviews, it could be more detailed. But for someone completely new in the industrial world, this course is perfect !

It is a nice course and is visually very appealing and easy to follow. Great for beginners in this field. One thing that feels a little "unsmooth" is the presentation of YouTube videos in the course. Downloading the videos and writing the source information (credentials) in the bottom right corner while showing it would give these type of contents a very professional and academic touch.

This course is designed for novice or those who want to brush up their knowledge. It provides an engaging way to go through the basics, with demonstrations of industrial applications! Only would expect some more extensive quizzes and questions!
By Servando Ricardo Robledo Sánchez on 8/26/2024
The course is perfect for people who have never worked with machines. For anyone else with experience in Mechanical Design it will be very boring. It should be noted that to size a motor correctly the student must take the Statics and Dynamics course since this is more involved with physics.

Very good course on the fundamentals of production mechanical assembly and how motors/frames/feeding systems work in actual production. He gives students the theory and then shows real world examples through various videos showing the lessons being implemented in production systems.
By Bhanu Chapparapu on 6/14/2024
I am very much delighted and satisfied with the explanation and content of the Robotics and Mechatronics field. Specifically, conveyor belt building was very interesting topic that was well explained about the components are being used to build an effective conveyor belt. Finally, the bottle production line is very fascinating topic which covers all the parts being discussed in the course. Overall, the course was very well organized and easy to understand.
By Alan Marks on 1/25/2024
Very basic, not a lot that I could apply. Reasonably good production quality, even if there were a lot of spelling mistakes (Rodes rather than rods, for example). I don't really feel that I have learned much about the topic more than what I did before. There were a lot of concepts that were put out there in brief, but to actually use them I would have to look them up for more detail. Disappointing, what really is this course for?
