Thank you for your lecture and it helps me almost everything. Few things about google sign in issue. XAMPP is great app to use for web test.

Seems like a good match so far. But I hope to see the activation of mysql or MariaDB. Will see if that occurs.

Great refresher course for me after not using XAMPP for a decade. Setting up the mail was particularly helpful. This course was a good solid overview of all its capabilities including MuSQL/phpadmin. Since I already own Filezilla Pro, I did not download the built-in Filezilla FTP client just to be safe (didn't want license conflicts), and like you said in the video, that's the one part of Xampp that folks probably won't use. Thanks for a really solid course.

It seems a common problem with installation on Windows machines is the need to right click the Control Panel file and select Run as Administrator, but maybe it's not so common that it need to mentioned. Fortunately, I spotted the tip in the forum.

Course describes the basics of installing and configuring XAMPP on your local system. Good pace and covered almost everything. I would have liked to get more details on installing XAMPP Add-ons, plus a brief update on what changes between versions of XAMPP.

Learning to set up a local host is great, learning it in a short time and with understanding .... Priceless.

By Leslie Milburn on 5/2/2017

The lecturer is clearly spoken and thus far has explained things in an easy to understand manner. The only negative from the actual course content is that in order to get the subdomain functionality to work I had to edit my windows hosts file. The other issue I had may be out of the control of the lecturer. I am not able to change the quality of the playback. This means that on my large screen monitor the video is very blurry and extremely hard to see. As this is the first course I have taken here, it could be my fault.

It's not for beginners, I'm still trying to learn HTML/5 and PHP; I get some of this and notice some steps aren't explained. this may be more geared to more experienced developers who way familiar with xampp. I will probably rewatch this video from the beginning later on, as I feel this become clear when I get a better understanding of using PHP and XAMPP.

Thanks for amazing course, increased my level of knowledge about xampp and mail function code was easily understandable. Thanks again.
