Ok, after I have learned this course. In my opinion I'm newbie in substance but I learn a lot of from this course. But like many people said, this course is taught too slowly. It makes you feel sleepy and takes too long to do something, like adding texture. It shouldn't take that long. Make it a waste of time But I think this course taught me many things as well. Thank you very much.

there's no doubt that the lecturer has great skill and you will be able to learn a little from this course however none of the lessons are structure and they are way to long as in some lessons you may be working on a set of grunge dirt maps for 30mins just for the lecturer to delete it and put a generator in instead which leads me to think it wouldn't of been any effort to cut out those 30 mins of wasted time. in addition the lecturer doesn't have any plans for the texture it feels more like he is experimenting for 5 hours rather than a workflow i want to achieve X here's how i do it there's so many sections where he stops talking for extended periods of time not telling you what or why he is doing it again you will learn some great tips and knowledge i just wish that it was more structure towards teaching

I have to agree with the other reviewers in that the instructor just narrates the steps he is doing without any explanation of what we are trying to do, how we are going about it, or why. In other words, the teaching is missing from this course. I am learning a bit from it, but it is far more painful and time consuming than it had to be and I can't help feeling like there is a whole lot of expertise here that is simply not taught.

easily explained. I've been trying to learn substance painter for awhile on youtube. I haven't fully grasped the UI until taking this class. Thanks for clear and easy instructions

Very good course that covers everything from a realstic looking game (think call of duty, the Witcher 3 etc...) to stylized (think fortnite, a more detailed WoW). It is easy enough to follow along with the instructor. All models are premade and already unwrapped so you can dive right into the texturing. There is no time skipping, no speed texturing, everything is step by step. I do hope to see more substance painter courses in the future from this instructor (especially the stylized stuff). Overall I feel the course is worth it, at the end you will come out with nice looking assets.

Cool course, maybe some parts are long winded, but it gives you a solid base of the software and the workflow. In my opinion he could have shown maybe more functions (filter, brushes ecc.) but however thanks to him I have the knowledge to start working on my projects and test what we haven't used in the course. Fully recommended!

I'm newbie in substance painter and a couple of times i was confused about the program and the steps to achieve some results. i would like a little more explanation about the program. It took me extra time to understand some of the steps and i needed to rewind the videos a lot. I think this course so far is base more on how to achieve the end result then to how to understand the program.

While the content is really good, the explanation is not the best. It's more of "Now we're gonna do this", "Now we're gonna do that". But no real explanation to what's going on and why we are doing a certain step. Besides that, the content itself is really good and the pacing is great.

Thank you, I have been using substance painter for a while without any tutorial. My texturing used to be very simple. Thanks to you I could immediately improve and I cannot wait to use the knowledge on my future projects.
