Invaluable experience which other instructors gloss over

This is an incredibly detailed course, with details and animations of what happens with the paints, water, and brushes. Very enlightening.

You really explain things so clearly. My studio is very hot so I didn't get the same results as you did, but at least I know this now. Thank you. Onto brushstrokes P1 I go ?

I found that this is exactly the course that it says it would be. No more, no less. I've been following the author's YouTube channel and I knew I appreciated the tone and method of the author. Although I am not a novice, I found the information and the presentation useful. The major plus for me is that a lot of the knowledge shared here although familiar to me, was not "arranged" in my head (and practice) systematically, and thus didn't produce consistent results. So this course did just that and saved me a lot of effort and time. I consider that good value for money every time :)

Excellent course that provided a much-needed grounding in watercolor technique. This is all about how paint acts on paper and how to mix it and apply it. I have been doing watercolors for a while without getting the results I wanted. I circled back to this course to get information I should have had in the beginning. I highly recommend if you are serious about learning how to use watercolors.

Very detailed and topic is clear and well explained.

I should have taken this course first, as I am already halfway through Mastering Brushstrokes and have finished Mastering the Foundations, both excellent courses also, taught by Jill.
Despite that, every time I thought a topic was about to get repetitive, Jill would mention something or demonstrate something very valuable in this course that I have never seen before, or that no one has taught me.
For instance, I had already created a mixing chart prior to this course, but Id never heard of using individual colour swatches and colour family mixing charts to aid with the composition of a painting. They have already been very useful and eye opening. The advice not to put the source colours at the top and sides of a colour family chart was particularly helpful, so as to be better able to discern sometimes subtle differences amongst mixes.
Thank you very much Jill for your thorough and clear communication. I will take any course you teach, and I have already recommended you to my friends.

Great!!!! The explanation of the science behind the flow of pigment an water, is what makes it easier to understand how to achieve the desired results of a painting.

By Rose-Marie Eckes on 10/11/2020

This is an extraordinary course. An excellent teacher. I will be excited about reviewing this course, and parts thereof, over and over as I progress with my learning. I would give it ten stars if I could!!!

By Hernan Restrepo on 10/7/2020

I like painting and I using Watercolor, Acrylics and water soluble oil paintings, but my knowledge about color, mixing and painting techniques is very slim. resulting in a lot of guess work; thus making more difficult my work and sometimes leading to frustration. This course has been very helpful, as by learning the techniques , which the instructor has presented very well, I think I would be able to achieve much better results, an produce a more rewarding art work.
Thanks
