Setting up the project was more of a follow along. (Copy what I do) There was not a lot of information about why certain things were added. There was not much information on the plug-ins and how and why you need them. Without access to this project, I will fumble through setting up a new fresh project in the same way. Further learning required to fully understand this section. It is maybe done in a beginner friendly or let's just get through this part so we can start learning in blueprints but, I think some further explanation could go a long way to future proof students looking to develop a steam game.

This is a review for the Legacy Version before the recent update. It's a very good course overall and a great exploration of the basics of a multiplayer system as well as many RPG mechanics. The instructor explains a decent number of things pretty thoroughly and only sometimes goes through things too quickly. It's also nice that he shows his debugging process as he goes so you can get a nice idea on what it looks like to debug systems as you make them and inevitably make human mistakes. Overall would recommend but definitely for more experienced people, it would be too confusing for complete beginners.

Wide and comprehensive course. Great for getting into multiplayer, also great for deepening your knowledge of widgets and animation blueprints. I tried this course on both 5.4 and 5.5, and didn't experience major issues. (change animation notifies montage tick type from queued to branching point, to avoid double calls) As an intermediate blueprint user, I enjoyed this course.

The instructor seems very knowledgeable. Learning quite a bit, really enjoying it. I'm not done yet, but I feel confident the instructor will deliver. However: It feels rushed. Lots of click here, click there, there we go, next next, maybe followed by a VERY brief reason. But, perhaps taking separate coursed over multipler replication, blueprint communications, animation, etc are just necessary to get a more rounded understanding of the components.

Works great so far, not so hard to follow even if new to UE, had some question that were answered by the instructor

Really liking the course so far! Just finished the swordsman's blinking and ended up using the "Greystone / Jump_pad" -animation. I had to set the animation play rate to 5, but after that it felt like a nice shield slam. Thanks for the course so far! :)

Much of the code appears to be worked out during the lectures, so there is often backtracking to change the solution. This makes it difficult for me to follow, especially as the video flits very quickly over sections of blueprints being changed. I am constantly trying to hit pause at the exact frame to see what is being done. When you have something that doesn't work there doesn't appear to be a good method to compare what you have with the working blueprint. The course is otherwise good, but for me it would be better with the lessons planned out in advance, and some way to view the full blueprints.

Just finished video 11: Am able to have open (in the PlayInEditor), 4 windows, (server + 3 clients) After mouse-clicking on the window's bar to highlight the window, and then clicking into the play area to move.. Successfully plugged-in and unplugged both XBox-style game controller and PlayStation-style controllers and each was recognized each within a second or two. 4 replicated players = Happy programmer

So far so good, seems like it's not finished, but I liked the ideas presented. It's a good course for beginners pre-mid-level that want to learn UE replication basics, but with a nice example.
