It is a good collection of topics and at a shallower depth that probably could have been replaced with the unreal documentation for a lot of things. It could go into more examples that are relevant to game development to explain these features and functions, but its ok for a beginner. MP section was very good at explaining core principles that are tricky to understand without direct experience.

As a new user to Unreal 5, but with professional software engineering training. This course managed to bridge my software skills and Unreal Engine's workflow. The course was well structured and informative, but quite basic in terms of its functionality. But it still gave me a good grasp of Unreal Engine and its functionality. Some of the examples in the code were not thou very "industry standard way to implement gameplay.

The course is a very quick skim through basic functionalities and a few examples of blueprint-based coding. I was expecting a more solid base for my understanding of UE5 in general for a broader set of applications rather than a course that seems geared and focused primarily on creating games for people who already have at least an entry level notion of game engine verbiage and lingo. No mention of Lumen, Niagara, all sorts of UE5 goodness. PS. You might want to switch off the microphone on your voice assistant who's name starts with an A.

I've been trying to learn Unreal Engine for months, but I just couldn't seem to get the hang of it. Eric's course has been a revelation - the way he explains complex concepts is clear and easy to understand, and the support from the community has been amazing. I've already started building my own game and I'm excited to see where this journey takes me

I was blown away by the quality of Eric's course - the depth of knowledge, the practical exercises, and the support from the community have all been top-notch. I've already started building my own game and I'm loving every minute of it. If you're serious about learning Unreal Engine, this course is a must-take

Definitively, the lecturer is very knowledgeable and try to explain as best as he can things. I learnt interesting things. I recommend his lessons! I don't give 5 stars because sometimes it is very confusing what he is saying. It would be better if he could prepare in advance the example he wants to give to explain, then present clearly what he wants to do, adding a schema (even handwritten) would help to have an overall view of the process and would help a lot to have a better and faster understanding.

This course is perfect for anyone looking to learn Unreal Engine from scratch. Eric's explanations are clear and easy to follow, and the hands-on exercises are super helpful. I've already learned a ton and can't wait to dive deeper into Unreal Engine

It's hard to make a "basic" course in something extremely complicated and involved. What do you concentrate on and what do you skip over? I prefer a course that shows and explains absolutely everything, then I can choose to skip over the parts I don't need. I really can't see this course as being useful to a beginner, because it may be too simplified and then too complex. It starts out very simple then get very involved in Blueprints.

I've been a game developer for nearly 30 years and have been dedicated exclusively to Unreal 5 since late 2021 when it released in Preview 1. I purchased MST Pro (Multiplayer Survival Template Pro) that came bundled with this course. I decided to take this course purely for refresher reasons and was pleased to pick up a few new tricks to add to my arsenal. In particular, Erik's approach to modular design is excellent. Pay close attention to abstract classes, interfaces, and actor components and when to apply each method. Multiplayer replication can be intimidating as well, and his intro in this course is well explained. It doesn't matter if you are new or a grizzled vet, this is a great course!

I have taken this introductory course as well as the advanced training offered on the official GamesByHyper website, and I can only recommend them. These courses are high-quality resources for anyone who wants to get started in creating games with Unreal Engine. The instructor is incredible: he offers clear and precise explanations on all the important topics, sometimes impossible to find elsewhere. And that's not all! The strength of this course lies in its exceptional Discord, which gives you additional support, as well as in the modules and templates that allow you to complete your learning of Unreal Engine by directly analyzing its work. GamesByHyper represents the best learning structure that I have discovered on the market, after a year of intensive learning, having followed the majority of the courses available online (probably more than 85%). Long live GamesByHyper, and a big thank you to Eric for his incredible training and daily advice!
