Course Description
This course will take you through key concepts regarding Unreal Engine's Blueprint scripting system as well as Metasounds.
As someone using Unreal Engine every day professionally, I have a good sense of what people should know and be comfortable with when embarking on this sound design journey in Unreal Engine.
This course will give you the confidence and abilities to work on other people's games and be able to navigate a project and hit the ground running by placing sounds in Blueprints and Metasounds.
The concepts taught in this course have scalability in mind, and would be acceptable in a professional environment.
While sound design, itself, is not a focus of the course, there are sections where you are asked to create some sounds to use in the game. However, if you do not wish to do so, all sounds used by the instructor will be available to download when needed.
The course does not require you to have any prior knowledge of computer programming or visual scripting languages. All of these things are taught on the assumption that the student has not used software such as this before. Some computer science topics are mentioned, but only in order to facilitate your ability to embed your sound design into Blueprint scripts.

only bounced around a couple of videos looking for specific things I was needing at the moment, but this is like having a visual manual. David covers everything in a logical order and really helps fill in gaps.

Todavía no lo terminé, pero siento que es una de las mejores elecciones que hice para encontrar la información que en ningún otro lado estaba consiguiendo. I haven't finishead yet, but I've already feel that this is the best option to find the information that I just need and can't find anywhere

This is a very well paced and concise course. I'm an Audio Engineer and Theatre Sound Designer keen to branch into VR and Game Audio. Having spent a few weeks self learning UE Audio via Youtube, and wasting a lot of time searching through different channels etc, I decided to give this course a go. I am very happy with this choice. Within the first hour I feel I gained a better understanding of Blueprints and Metasounds than I was able to gain in weeks via Youtube. David explains every step very clearly and his little extra challenges are very well timed and placed within the course. I'm excited to continue learning from him.

super awesome lecture. Teacher gives a lot of information about the unreal engine sound system. As game developer, I learned many things which I didn't know before. This lecture is only one lecture teaching unreal engine sound systems on udemy. So everyone who study game sound should take this course. Thank you!

It made me more interested in metasounds than any YouTube video. Every topic is explained really well, including possible edge cases and beginner mistakes. I was hoping to find a simple way to learn metasounds with well-sorted and well-served knowledge, and I feel I'm in the right place.

What Bob Ross is for painting, this guy is for MetaSounds. Perfect!

So far a really great mix of topics (although I've only just started) - I like how it looks to be focusing on blueprints in addition to sound design
