Course Description
This course covers the basics of User Experience Design and the fundamentals of User Interface Design – since it helps tremendously to have a basic understanding of how graphical user interfaces work when designing a User Experience.
We need to understand the people using our products so we start by learning the basics of human-centered design.
We learn how to do Market Research and how we can develop prototype users – so-called Personas to help us further improve our design. We talk about User Stories and User Scenarios which in combination with Use Cases allow us to test our design and discover any possible errors.
Sensible Information architecture is incredibly important which is why we will teach you how you can use techniques such as card sorting to improve the user flow and navigation of your products.
Designing a User Experience is always a process so we’ll look at how we can incorporate Design Thinking and Lean UX into our work, and make sure that our products are as accessible as possible we also cover the most important Usability Heuristics you should pay attention to.
In the user interface design part of the course, we talk about the most important things that influence a user’s experience with our products when it comes to the visual aspect.
You will learn about Color Psychology and what combinations you can use to make your products as appealing as possible. Typography and Motion are powerful tools we have at our disposal that can make our products even more intuitive to use.
All of this and much more will be covered in this course and if you want to learn the fundamentals of modern user experience, interaction, and interface design - then you’ve found the right course.

I really enjoyed this course. It gave enough information about all aspects of UX and UI Design. Thanks for a great course Timothy!

Voice was soothing. Instructor's face and look is presentable. Some errors in the title (switch between 43 and 44). Since subtitles are auto generated, sometimes it is wrong but given the context, still able to figure out. Visual examples are good, better if it has more examples seeing as this is a visual communication course. Quick to finish meaning it is not overwhelming than other courses. Uses language that is understandable thus gives confidence to learners especially beginners and non-professionals. The pacing and lengths of video makes completion of the course easier and manageable.

Absolutely enjoyed from start to end. Very informative. Each lecture was crisp, up to the point and explained in detail without boredom. No fancy animation and pictorial references, but it did the job in helping me understand and learn things needed.

The content and delivery are quite good and relevant, but with a few caveats. There was a lot of "talking head" time, and the content could have been reinforced with more visual examples than the occasional (and quick) bullet point slide. The organization of the material had some redundancies and a couple topic headings in the sidebar were mixed up toward the end. The whole course ends a bit abruptly, without any summary. But having said all of that, there's very useful information here I can immediately utilize, and it's very clearly presented. Would recommend but could have some minor improvements!

Very quick and clear course about UX and UI design basics. I enjoyed what I learned and I can't wait to implement the skills I've learned in future projects. I also found the resources helpful and they were able to push my learning further!!

The instructor speaks clearly and goes through the material at a good pace. He also gives good practical examples. I also liked that the theory was used to reach a certain goal, like setting up personas. However for some specific sections, like card sorting, there weren't any visualisations to make it clear how to use it in the real world. Some picturs would come in handy when explaning such tools.

I was expecting to see some more visual and practical exercises, as a front-end engineer I usually learn by visuals but this course has been so theoretical that I lost my focus in the very first lesson. The color section guide is very useful anyways, that is why I increased my score for this course The motion part was very handy The Typography was very concise and practical guide. The course at the end was good in the UI part despite the initial UX part was a bit boring.

It is a very good introductory course to something who is just venturing out into design. It has good basics, what colour wheel is, font sizes etc which adds knowledge to a newbie designer like me. Not too long as well which is a plus.

It was easy to follow, and I have a better understanding of the basic concepts of ux/ui, but more grafic examples using existing web sites or products would have make it eaven more easy to understand

Highly recommend! The course was very useful, straight to the point, with enough examples! I've actually learnt a lot :)
