Grant is very eloquent, but there are a few problems in this course: 1. The compiler no longer exists and he should be using visual studio. 2. For some reason, he explains C# programming from scratch, but refuses to explain += or => notations or what they mean. 3. There is a lot to Visual Studio compared with Appcelerator, but this course needs to cover them, especially DATABASES - which is not to be found.

Author doesn't follow C# naming conventions (e.g. uses parameter names started with underscore, creates wrong names for interfaces etc.), uses Java-style bracketing and several bad-programming practices. On the other hand he doesn't use modern syntax and techniques available in today's C#. Worst chapter ever is "Delegates in Xamarin.iOS". Author confuses two concepts: Xamarin delegates (which are actually C# delegates) with iOS delegates (which are some kind of class inheritance). I recommend to everyone at least to mute audio in this chapter.

Great course. Covers all of the basics enough to get started building your own apps and does so in a way that emphasizes real-world skills required to build apps. I know this because I've built several Android apps and am just getting started on the ios platform. I'd like to request a tutorial section dealing with photos in ios. Specifically, how to select photos using a "chooser" and then do something with the photos selected. Thanks again for a great course.

I am a complete beginner, and I have been tasked with creating an iPhone app with web requests. This course was perfect, and all of the concepts were explained clearly so a layman could understand. Thank you so much! This course was worth much more than the price.

Sometimes I think that the content in the course should be updated and going deeper of those many libraries that he shows. Anyway thanks a lot for your struggle. And I hope you can upload a course where you explain more things like Custom Renders, MVVM for Xamarin.Forms(More at Detail). Kind Regards

This course was very helpful and meaningful in my Xamarin learning experience. I believe that anyone with little C# knowledge will be able to complete this course and feel that he get what he paid for. Instructor has also a very nice voice what makes this course very convenient to listen.

This is an amazing course. Thank you. So many essential things covered - this is what is needed for a heads-up on Xamarin. 25$ well spent. The content was really clear, it was perfect for transitioning from Visual Studio or Unity. And even beginners can easily grasp the concepts you were talking about in the course.

First of all, this isn't a "master guide" as the course skims the surface of each topic, giving basic guidance but usually without delving into details and mostly without giving directions for further study. The author also makes some basic mistakes such as confusing the HTTP Accept and ContentType headers, insisting on calling .NET namespaces "classes" and muddling the lines between Xamarin, .NET and iOS. On the whole however the course provides some interesting material, covers a decent subject area, and I liked the fact that the course leader pointed out a number of "gotchas" during the lectures. It's a good course if you're new to Xamarin.iOS and want to get a feel for what's in there, but don't expect it to be enough.

The course is well-explained and is easy to follow. It covers pretty much the basics to start developing iOS apps with Xamarin. However, some of the topics have more to do with .NET than with iOS, for example: json, webrequests, events/protocols, etc. Also, the author overuses the Console output, instead of interacting with the iOS UI controls. To be a Master Guide , I missed more iOS specific contents and more complex apps examples.

I'm really enjoying this course. The lessons are clear and nicely paced. I've had a few errors when building a solution, but I just went back and tried to retrace all of the steps. I still prefer Xcode/Swift to Xamarin (I am only a novice to both), but this is more relevant to my job. I'm going to move on to Swift after I learn C#. Overall, this is a great course.
