It gave me enough information to decide if I create my own site or outsource the creation and maintaining my site. You mentioned additional info: I want visitors to click on a picture that automatically play an EMBEDDED mp3 file (message or music track) with a duration of up to 10 minutes hosted on my site.

I particularly like that the screen is not cluttered and it is clear which part of the screen I should be looking at. Initially I thought the instructor spoke too slowly but it is the perfect speed when I have to look around the screen.

it looks like there's a lot to remember in wordpress. i am registered with Afrihost and they have what is called Afrihost Site Builder. It looks very simple compared to Wordpress. Would you perhaps have a lesson on creating a complete website from scratch.

A very lean presentation, but a very good one at that. I enjoyed the tips on backups, optimization, and free themes. I am very new with Wordpress. However, I have lot of experience with managing Oracle databases. I have also constructed websites (past) using Perl and HTML. Your emphasis on selecting the proper plugins was very useful.

I got nothing of value in this course! Not even wordpress installation was explained properly, just following some wizard is something a kid can figure out!

This course was a great first look at Wordpress. As a professional developer who has never used Wordpress before, this course was a great little introduction, and I feel confident that I'll be able to take what I learned here and get my own Wordpress site up and running without any issues.

Good, but a little slow paced, even for a beginner. Also, I think it needs to go further and cover pages, menus, etc... although he may have those in another course. I think it would be good to have all the basics in one training package. I do appreciate the effort used to create this and it did show me some things I hadn't found yet on my own.
