He explained everything really well and I was easily able to understand what he said. Most of the other courses I have taken have only shown you how to do stuff, but he really explained what each thing was doing and why we were doing it which was super helpful!

This course lacks substance in terms of explaining the key methods used and using examples that properly demonstrate the lesson.

I love Grants teaching style. He is clear, concise and discusses curly braces too. He carefully takes you through the steps of creating a Java program from start to finish and describes what he is doing. Some instructors race through the code and literally say: 'Watch what I am doing' and expect you to do the same. Grant takes the time and makes the effort. A true teacher. Many, many thanks!

Very Very good.. Good speed of teaching, slow and detailed, however failed to give 5 stars only becuase the classes and objects lecture, to me, being a dunce, seemed to be rushed even though we are told that these ideas are 'fundemental' to this kind of programming. That being said it did make me go off else where to get a better grip and understanding of this issue, then I watched the lecture again and understood it better. Excellent course though if you are a beginner....

this is rubbish ! doesn't teach anything ! I learnt nothing from this ! its more java index than a teaching tutorial ! its basically tells you if you wanna learn java you will go through this index of topics !!

Para iniciantes é excelente, o curso é explicado de forma simples e de fácil entendimento mas alguns pontos poderiam ter uma explicação um pouco mais detalhada, mas da pra aprender tranquilamente. Se você quer iniciar em Java, recomendo fortemente que realize este curso para depois procurar outro que te de mais aprofundamento no assunto. É um curso rápido, simples e introdutório de Java. Muito bom!

Before this class, I had no knowledge of Java. I thought it would be frustrating and difficult to learn. After going through this course, I feel I have a basic understanding of Java. I enjoyed how the instructor presented the material and plan on taking more courses from him. Thank you for making this a fun course to take!

It was exactly as described. I liked the speed and also the simplicity. This is important, as it is a beginner's course, as most of the learners are trying to decide if they will learn java, and if they wouldn't, at least not very much time has been spent on the subject.

As a programmer i must say that it was easy and comprehensible but, must mention that guys with no programming background would find it pretty hard to follow especially when talking about classes and objects (OOP), but hey i'm not discouraging people here, i'm new to java and i learned a lot, it was an awesome course so thanks a bunch!!

Very basics in java and really helpful for students like me who is new to programming. The only problem in this course is the "video" video quality is good but sometimes it gets stuck. other than that lecture is really good. IM LOOKING FORWARD TO HIS COURSES

Acredito que poderia ter seções de exercícios, porém a parte das aulas é muito bom - simple e obejtiva, além de ser ótimo para revisões.

Practice sessions should be more as it is the basic Java
