I downloaded Android Studio for Windows and the screens look nothing like what is shown in this video. Is Android Studio different between Mac and Windows? Do I need to download a particular version? If so, how do I do that?

Awesome for first timers, a app ready in half hour. Some of the options in android studio are updated in new android studio versions, but that can be managed, just had lil issue configuring new AVD manager in new version of android studio I used, but course is too good. Must have for beginners.

Great tutorial for beginners. You absolutely dont need to know Java or Android Development basics. You just need some basic programming knowledge and this course will get you started with lots of confidence

SO far after video 4 this course is very simple and easy to follow for both a novice and a coder with little skill. i would rate this as a 4 star due to the level of programming and it being as advertised. Well done and will continue watching.

I ran into some issues not addressed in the tutorial, however with some internet research on the Android Studio forums found the solutions. The application works under Android 9.0 with some small changes. good class.

Learned how to create a small app using Android Studio (the course was using an outdated version which made it more difficult to follow along). Also learned how to modify the UI via the Design editor vs the XML Text editor. Learned how to add interactivity (editing, saving changes) using EditText and Buttons. Learned how to add basic animation of button to provide feedback to user that an action had been completed. Finally, learned how to run project on a virtual device as well as an actual USB-connected Android device. I really liked how Grant boiled down the tutorial to a bite-sized chunks of functionality to highlight specific concepts for each lesson. He explains things fairly clearly although I would have benefited with the addition of slightly more explanation of each line of code than was provided.

I am an absolute beginner in Android Studio. I've been searching for beginner's tutorial on how to get started in using AS. Saw this video tutorial offered for free and I gave it a try. The instructor voice is so clear and easy to understand. The tutorial is very basic but sufficient, and it helped me understands the basic of Android Studio. I highly recommended for absolute beginners who wants to learn the basic of Android Studio.

Die aktuelle Android Studio hat einige andere Menüpunkte, das macht den Start etwas schwierig. Der Kurs jemanden der schon etwas Erfahrung mit anderen Programmierumgebungen hat und mal über den Tellerrand sehen will.

This course was a very handy and nimble introduction to Android studio. Learnt the basics to start my application development. Would of been nice to show how to debug on physical device as well, particularly unlocking developer options on phone.

I was looking for a way to learn how to use Android Studio. Was using Eclipse ADT before and wanted to switch, but I had no clue how and where to start. This course helped me learn the basics and how to setup & configure Android Studio. The course was really helpful, short and to the point. I would recommend this course to all the beginners out there wanting to switch from Eclipse ADT to Android Studio.
