Great course. Ryan is very knowledgeable. Enjoyed his tips and tricks. The beginning was very overwhelming for someone who never used After Effects before, but he explained everything in detail at slower pace later on in the course. So if you're feeling overwhelmed at first, keep going, because it will make sense later on.

It was ok. I bought this on sale, so that's why I wasn't so upset. It taught me many things I didn't know before, but I really expected for this to go in depth a lot more than it did. He went through a lot of concepts, but didn't really 'teach' them. just showed off how he does it... All in all, it was ok. I would recommend this to someone who has zero skills in after effects But for someone who has basic knowledge in AE, this isn't a step up. It's just a half step up.

Hey folks, the course is great for me as i have a strong photography & now getting into more video + editing type work, so really this course is essential for me, i could be doing a few video creation jobs per week & it's definitely great to be able to offer more post production techniques for clients. After effects is a crazy piece of software & our tutor here will help calm the nerves when using it.

I found this course to be pretty inciteful, and it helped to increase my abilities within after effects. There are times where I did need to pause the videos and rewind to understand better, but that is expected with completing courses. Ryan did a really good job at explaining the ins and outs of after effects, and I think my skills within the software have improved immensely. Thank you Ryan and Lindsay!

The course covers everything you need to get started with the program. I liked it, although it took me a few days to understand the interface. I don't know if it's because of how it is structured. Lindsay Marsh's explanation at the beginning is impeccable; you also have all the references on downloadable PDFs. As for the program part, I would start by showing the interface and naming the sections, but Ryan Collins begins with a tutorial. The sections of the interface are added at the end be sure to watch that before starting the lessons. I found it a little challenging to follow some of the projects. I was doing the exercises with Ryan Collins at the same time, and I didn't quite understand what was happening, and I had to rewind or look for a solution elsewhere. He often deleted what he had done and changed the direction of the tutorial, which could have been edited, and the lesson would have been more concise. I would include all the developed projects as downloadable to compare them with mine, you only have the first one to download with a variation. I would also add a list of keyboard shortcuts PC & Mac to have as a reference.

The content is nice but I'm a bit confused with the order since the A-Z of AE is after the projects. Also, I feel like a lot of information is repetitive and it could use some more examples instead of repeating the information all over again. However, you delivered quite an informative course. Thanks!

Massively valuable introduction and in depth tutorage for AE. Really helped me to gain the technical skills and confidence to start bringing my creative concepts to life! Covers a great range of stuff within AE and Ryan is a great tutor with a warm personality. Some of the videos could be more to the point or a little more choppily edited. Would have been good to see more keyboard shortcuts imposed over the footage. But this is remedied with added slides. 100% recommend.

As an artist who usually designs static images for about 3 years. This course is pretty amazing. Ryan discussed all the necessary functions within After Effects that I need as I design videos for social media. Please be informed that after enrolling and learning from this course, it's still our job to continue learning as After Effects is vast. Muscle Memory, more application of fundamentals and even more techniques can be found throughout Youtube or the internet. I am one of those that is intimidated at After Effects. But this course gave me confidence and love at using AE. Highly Recommended. Thanks, Ryan and Lindsay!

I love the pace of this course, and how clear and easy to follow the message is. As I view this course I am constantly seeing examples of the skills I hope to gain. If the course instructors don't have the ability to do what the teach the course isn't going to be beneficial. This course clearly demonstrates the level of qualification of the instructors.

To say this course is extensive does almost seem an understatement but in a good way! Lyndsey sets the scene then Ryan takes us through the entire After Effects sections of the course, and as someone who knew the basics and had done some animations in After Effects before this course was really handy not just for shortcuts but finding better ways and means of producing animations in various ways. It's not often you see a course on here when the person leading the course will admit to things going wrong with a few bits of the filming so it is a change when Ryan does say about this and how you can try and remedy it, and it's a change to here not just a British accent but one from just across the border here! As with a lot of the courses when you have a course leader/tutor who really knows their stuff there are times when you might find yourself shouting at them to slow down a bit, but you can of course wind back the video, but it's not like Ryan is hard to follow or skips over anything, though he might want to adjust his pronunciation of leading (rhymes with dead-ing leading Ryan! ;) ). There's a nice section on sound and a nice feature at the very end covering the development and production of a social media ad Ryan put together which gives a good insight into how social media videos get put together, especially for those who've never done animation or video before. There is maybe an argument that the fundamentals section should be at the start of the course though Ryan does mention this in the early videos in fairness and it's certainly no big deal or detraction from the course. A highly recommended course which will be very handy to revisit in future.
