Even these many years later, the course stll rules and I learned a LOT!! With the benefit that blender sculpting tools caught up and I did all the sculpting part inside of it, not needing 3D coat...

not update, no work around provided for dupliface, without it not possible to finish. Great teacher but this course should of been updated, it would otherwise be a fun course but due to so many features not working properly on this design with the new blender and the lack of support or update this course that has needed on for over 1 year its sad to say its no longer a good course , i dont recommend it purely because you cant do some of the important functions required the same way in blender 2.8 and above.

Great course with lots of advanced techniques both in Blender and 3D Coat covering the whole asset production pipeline. Keep in mind that you have to have some basic experience with those programs as you'll need to come prepared for more advanced ways to create this gauntlet. Excellent course for those who seeks to expand their modelling skills.

Uses older version of blender and 3d coat , but everything is still relevant and useful. Instructor is clear and concise and has quite a few great tips and tricks to make the process's much more manageable. Recommended :)

Overall this was a very good tutorial specially the modeling and 3d coat part, the weak part were the lighting setup and the compositing. Maybe the author just did it on purpose for showing features but doing so could confuse people into thinking this is a standard production workflow.

A intermediate to advance level project that requires solid modeling technique and deep knowledge of Blender. The instructor is clear, knowledgeable, and precise. I learned a lot and I greatly reccomand the course ! I hope the instructor will produce more courses utilizing Blender 2.8 and 3D Coat.

Did not have to think twice to five star this course. If you really want to step into the world of complex modelling and rendering, this is a good start. A basic knowledge and hands-on of Blender before attempting this course would make things very easy and intuitive for you to follow this tutorial. The instructor would often first show you different options to achieve the same result, and then explain in detail why one option should be preferred among others for the final product. This is a great way to teach different techniques even when they are not really used for final result. I must say this is by far the best Blender tutorial on this website that I have come across, and an absolute must for aspiring Blender modelers/artists.

I began the course with a bit more of a very basic knowledge in both programs. Now I realized how deep they are, but they are not intimidating, and the possibilities to work together. When remaking all the steps, all the course contend will become familiar and more reasonable. I recommend it.

Excellent instruction for using Blender and 3D Coat together. With a clear workflow for moving models and textures between Blender and 3D Coat. The instructor is easy to follow and to the point from beginning to end.

Really nice advanced tutorial. You need to have basics, but after that course you will be on another level. Really nice explanation how to work with 3D coat and Blender together. I was hoping for more explanation for node and compositing editor and all features that it has (maybe in the next tutorial from you), but i still highly recomend this course !
