Ruan Lotter is a Filmmaker, Editor and VFX Artist from Cape Town, South Africa. He has directed and edited several short films, internet commercials and music videos over the last few years. In 2007 he started experimenting with Adobe After Effects, 3dsmax, Maya and PFTrack to name a few of the applications, and never looked back.
He currently works as a VFX Artist and Editor at Zebra Worldwide, doing post-production on international commercials and video projects.
He also runs a YouTube channel called TunnelvizionTV where he teaches people interested in Filmmaking and VFX (visual effects), from around the world, the secrets to many Hollywood VFX techniques.

What is shown as examples work 100% when applied in own project. Very easy to follow. Very knowledgable.

I did not get much value from this course.It was a waste of 2 hours, I did short courses on other programs and there were much more valuable.I do not recommend this.

Because I have ADD I like the short chapters of the tutorial and Ruan covers the important points. I will have to repeat each lesson as I am working on a pertaining projects in order to grasp it all, but I get more out of his demos than most that I observed; either written or videos. Thx, Ron

Very good notion refresher. But maybe a bit fast & short for beginner. Still a good quick course. Instructor go staight to the point with fluant language without annoying hesitations. Very good job.

For an absolute beginner this class is easy to follow and if you've had any previous experience with Adobe software it super easy to follow along. From the course title I was expecting content especially geared for the Adobe CC version, however I think the lectures are the same principle's and techniques for the version I learned on about 8 years ago so I did not benefit from the content in this course as much as I was hoping. Maybe he will add more content later though!Also, the first half of the lectures might be redundant for anyone who has opened the software for more than 30 minutes. However the instructors pacing and production value was reasonably good. I would have preferred real life projects and examples rather than the same one for most of the course. But for a 2 hour lecture it's enough to familiarize yourself enough to get busy using the software quickly. He also has a YouTube channel with more advanced content.
