By Jay Huther on 10/16/2020

great course, very helpful and 'in depth'

By Mara T Altorio on 9/5/2020

Great so far, but have difficulty downloading the resources. No problem with the Module 1 , 2 and 3 assignment pages. The image pages don't come up.
What other option do I have?
A very insightful basic course. Is there a portrait course I can take for different culture/ethnic skin tones?

By Robert Myers on 8/27/2020

Excellent Course. I was not familiar with Copic Marker usage before this course. Now, I feel like I have a great foundation!

Great course

By Michelle Waters on 8/19/2020

I wanted to love this course but there were just so many reasons I couldnt.
Its basically divided up into 2 sections intro to markers and demos of use.
Now there were some pros but it was definitely out weight by cons.
Pros: The teacher is very exact in his way of teaching which can be helpful for people who get anxious when learning new things.
Cons:
1. 95% of the intro stuff can be found free online with minimal searching.
2. The demos dont have any voice over so youre left to guess the reasons why hes doing things. Its just copy me while I colour.
3.There is no way to know the colours used for the demos (except for one video where he displays them). The rest youre left squinting trying to guess.
4. If you have a question thats too difficult for the teachers assistant to answer then youre ushered towards asking other people who have taken the course which is not the guidance that is advertised.

This course has taught me alot. I have enjoyed every minute of the course and I especially LOVED the colouring in! You are a great teacher and your drawings are very inspiring! I understood every little bit on hue saturation shading and the values!! Keep up these amazing courses!
Yes It was a pretty good fit for me :)

By Monica on 7/27/2020

Very easy to follow along

By Shelley Gossow on 7/16/2020

yes just what I needed

By Alison Wade on 7/2/2020

Really clear presentation. Thorough, with enough detail.

By Shery Scott on 7/2/2020

I love that you go into such detail in all the information you provide. I'm also impressed that you have indeed dispensed with the "fat and fluff." You're very quickly becoming one of my favorite Udemy instructors! Best regards!
One suggestion: I would like to see you review some of the materials we have more available in the USA. For example, Pigma Micron and Faber-Castell Pitt artist pens, which I understand are some of the top fine liners for non-smearing outlines. I'd also like your take o Strathmore Bristol paper and/or hot-press watercolor paper.
Until your next course...
Warmest wishes and best regards,
