I took this course after spending quite some time using ChatGPT and learning how to properly engineer prompts to get the results I need, so much of the content wasn't new to me. I did enjoy getting an insight into how they use this AI in their workflow. It sparked some ideas for how I could try using it as well.

This had some really good segments...but in November 2025 it is already a bit dated. Uses Chat GPT 4 and my work has Chat GPT 5. That being said, I still had some really good take aways and I especially liked the segment on how we can use Chat GPT as a writing partner.

I really understood the importance of repeatedly re-proofreading to find out what specific instructions I would give them and what kind of writing they would produce. I didn't know that you can even specify the use of emojis when advertising on Facebook or Instagram, so I think it's very useful. Thank you for providing an easy to understand course.

An Udemy course is above expectations when the teacher has some structure to their class. Many courses here at Udemy are not structured, so thank you for a very structured course. I came with some AI experience, and this course helped me understand how to interact with AI. Excellent course; excellent teacher. The only problem so far as I can see is there are many things I wanted to get a screen capture of, and I found out Udemy has some agreement with Apple not to allow screen captures, so I had to use my iPad to take pictures of the screen. So, more downloadable resources should have been provided.

This was my very first lesson on how to use ChatGPT for writing. It gave an overview of how to use ChatGPT, the ways to engineer prompts, techniques to use, etc. I think the examples used can be improved to showcase better prompt results.

By Anonymized User on 7/19/2023

Great basic overview with solid, real-life working examples and considerations. It was also a breath of fresh air after viewing other classes on prompts that seemed like they would be appropriate, but had way more of a web development/code focus than I was interested in!

By Casey Mahon on 6/3/2023

A good overview of tips and tricks for prompts. I liked the case studies. Could have a bit more depth for refining prompts in the iterative process.

By Michael Barnett on 5/23/2023

I was interested in the technology, but had no expectations as to how to get the information. The author presented the material in an engaging way. It was a good course that gave a good overview and will allow me to pursue the topic in more detail.

By Mary Anne Harris on 5/17/2023

Phil and his school are always my first choice to learn new things. I knew nothing about ChatGPT. Phil went into great detail - but not over my head - real examples, help me to understand what this AI technology can do and now I have some important new tools in my business box!

By David Smith on 5/4/2023

I signed up for this course somewhat reluctantly. I had already played around with ChatGPT - and there are SO many courses and teachers out there who want to show you how to use it. I figured I could figure it out on my own. And I'm sure I could have, but it would have taken much longer. I appreciated how Phil showed prompts that dig a little deeper, and how to use them.
