To following along with this course you must own playMaker. It can be purchased on the Unity Asset Store! It is also one of the best Unity Assets you will find. This game design was inspired by some of the most popular Life Simulator Games. Specifically, in this course we implement many of the features in Homeless?. It is available on the Google Play Store. This course is for anyone who wishes to build a Life Simulator Game in Unity3D using a visual development tool calledplayMaker. With playMaker, you can make entire games without writing a single line of code. In fact, in this course we build and entire working Life Simulator game without a single line of C#code. The entire project is 100% playMaker visual diagrams.
Learn the power of visual programming:
Perfect for making your very first video game ever! RequiresUnity3D(Free to download) &playMakerStart from the very beginning and follow step-by-step. The course is designedfor complete beginnersThis course is fast paced and focused on building your game. Although this is for beginners these are not boring lectures with fillers. Each lecture you will be learning to design games and building on your gameLearn to build a complete game in Unity 3D with no C#programming required for any of the game.
Focus on incremental development skills will help you create you own gamesClear, easy to understand lectures that are paced to make it fun and easy to learn Unity3d&PlayMakerCreated by OdooClass Videos... creator of Idle Business Simulation for C#enjoyed by over 1,000 studentsGreat starting off point for those who wish to get into game development or expand their range of skillsWhy would an experienced C#, Python, or Javascriptprogrammer be interested in PlayMaker?
There are several reasons why even experienced programmers may wish to experiment with PlayMaker.
Building games in PlayMaker vs C#allows you to look at game development from a different perspective.
As a developer myself who has written code in dozens of languages, it is often refreshing to build games in a visual tool like PlayMaker. A break from coding and still making games can be fun.
How you approach the design and how you build up your game has unique solutions and challenges you will not face when writing typical C# games.
It is relatively easy for an experienced C# developer to write actions that work with PlayMaker. This allows you to use PlayMaker as a state machine and for managing high level functions of your game design while using C#for more complex calculations and algorithms that can be tedious to code using a visual tool.
Who this course is for:
Anyone who wishes to learn how to create gamesGame Developers who learn better visually or who have struggled learning how to codeExperienced developers who wish to look at game development from a different perspectiveAnyone interested in learning Unity3d & PlayMaker by making a fun gameBeginning programmers who wish to experiment with visual programming

I love the course so far, I'm learning a lot!

By Nagy Mikls on 8/26/2019

I expected something more complex.

By Team JollyDog on 7/14/2019

Did I learn something about playmaker? Yes.
Did I build a fun life simulator game? No. Far from it.
Why 2 star reviews?
1. Instructor made far too many mistakes in the course that it became unbearable in the middle of the course. This is not a youtube live and I believe the instructor could have spend more time to redo some of the videos properly so we don't need to go through all the mistakes. It's just confusing for the intended audience (those who are at beginners level.)
2. I've definitely learnt something from this course, but it's at best incomplete. Here's a couple of things that I expected to be in the course and its the basics of all games.
- Save and load game!
- Some graphics incorporation. We spent the entirety of the course using buttons(!) and panels.
- There's no lessons on leveling
At the end of the day, what we get here is an incomplete "game" with a few buttons lying around. It has no depth, no graphics, no top score, and you can't even save it.
This is outright disappointing.
3. What playmaker can and can't do. There's a lot of questions left unanswered. We don't know what the limits of playmaker is. Can it do simple tasks like save and load? Guess I'll have to find out on my own.
4. The only reason why it's more than 1 star is because I believe the instructor has no evil intention. He tries to deliver it, but the course is far from being good.
The lectures are not thoughtful enough. The marketed title "fun life simulator game" is an overstatement.

Excellent course
- Loses important and expensive time several times in the course, where things will not work as planned.

By Jeffrey Muday on 9/8/2018

The presenter is easy to understand and very clear about the expectations in each step.

By Julian Bray on 8/9/2018

Very good :)

By Ray Mason on 6/13/2018

This is a this is a great course. I'm new to game development, and don't have very good programming skills, so this course is a perfect fit.

By Irfan Neox on 3/26/2018

not meeting my own expectations.
#EDIT
After got message from Odoo Class Videos, im feeling bad bacause give such childish reviews. This course is good!
Just im dont like visual scripting. more love C# programming.
If u really want to learn visual scripting playMaker, This is the great courses!!!

By Nemanja Badric on 3 days ago

Not bad, but not good, no design at all, and not too many functions at all that one life simulator game needs to have.
Anyone who finishes this course cannot make a life simulator game because there are not too many explanations.
Where is the save and load system?
Where is the build settings explanation?
You have only one scene (panel) in the course, what if someone wants to make different windows for a store, bank or job? You don't explain that
Overall this is half done course,3 stars.
