The instructor is good, but I feel like he often teaches you the wrong way first before stepping in to teach you the right way. I think that's a waste of time for me and for him, plus it gets students into bad habits early on when the right habits need to be developed. Furthermore, I do feel like there are times when he doesn't really have things planned out, he's just doing it as he goes. It would benefit from some streamlining of the process.

In Summary, An OK, course, but nothing to to shout to all my friends about.
On the positives, the instructer delivers clear instructions, and explains what, and why he is doing things.
Sadly though, this is a basic course, even though you do indeed build a simple Life simulator. There are other courses available, that will start at the same beginner level, and go far and beyond what you learn in this course, so it is difficult to mark this higher. There are times when the instructor jumps up and down in the code, and it can be a little difficult to follow. It feels like you hardly touch on coding, nor do you touch on building the graphical UI, and the game itself is very simple, so if you have never touched Unity before, this may well suit you as a perfect starter, but I think you will be looking for another course shortly afterwards.

Great course!

its ok just there were a few things missing in it like multiple menu's and real estate.

I am enjoying learning, very descriptive and made for absolute beginners. Two thumbs up. Cant wait for more features.

The instructor's logic is somewhat poor, besides that he has not even finished the course. It gets too involved in unnecessary code blocks that in my opinion are not useful, in the end it shows you another way to program a lot more practical and simple to understand when you've wasted your time doing the above. It is not bad but I do not recommend it.

I liked it, as beginner in Unity it started pretty easy, but later got somewhat harder and not very clear (at least for beginner). Still, I do recommend it - it's a fresh perspective to learn Unity while making this kind of game instead of space shooters, platformers etc. especially if you lean towards simulations, strategies and similar genres.
Would love to see another course that creates simulator, tycoon or strategy (board game or card game-like) game.

It was good as long as it lasted, but I think it was finished to early. Would love to build more on this game, like adding graphics, sound effects, menus, hide items that was purchased, rental countdown etc.

By Jess Keebler on 10/21/2018

I like how the instructor starts off with very simple easy-to-understand code but then refactors it to improve design structure. Also it helps me tremendously to see the bug-fixing along the way. The pacing of the course is excellent.

I wish the tutorial didn't end and continued the development process of a Life Simulator Game.

By Donald Wheeler on 9/18/2018

Great simple course, gets you something that you can see and use right away. Will be a great launch point into more complicated development and programming.
