This is a short, hands-on introduction to Excel VBA UserForms, the pop-up windows that let people enter and view data without touching the sheet. It runs about 3.2 hours across 42 lectures and four projects, all built around a call log: a basic interface, data entry into a worksheet, a printed report, and a stats screen that the syllabus still labels coming soon. The audience is Excel users who are new to UserForms. No programming experience is needed. Kyle Pew, a Microsoft Certified Trainer, does the teaching.

Reviewers like the pace and the way the build is cut into small projects. One says Kyle explains the reasons behind his code, and another praises the short quizzes and the stretch near the end where students write code on their own. About 2,050 of the 2,221 ratings are four or five stars. The complaints are specific. One reviewer hit code errors midway and stopped, another mentioned glitches and an Outlook email step they could not use, and a third wanted more of the form controls covered. A Spanish-language reviewer called it very basic.

The syllabus shows the last update was in 2016, and the requirements list Excel 2007 through 2016, so some screens may look dated. Reviewers are still rating it well this year, though. Treat it as a starter, not a reference. It is a sensible first look at UserForms that fits in a weekend. If you need the full set of controls or a modern workflow, plan on a second course after it.

He uses a project to guide you through all the functions of the user form that in turn makes it easier to digest, follow, and understand. Then, he follows up with a simple yet on-point quizzes to emphasize on the things we should look out for. Also, towards the end, he let go and let you write your own code while still follow up with you afterward. The project might be simple but it really builds your confident as you see it slowly starts to become functional. Simply brilliant!

The course Learning How to Code VBA in Excel Forms was great. I learned a lot about automating manual tasks in Excel, which will significantly improve efficiency in my day-to-day work. The concepts were explained clearly, and the hands-on examples made it easy to follow along. I’m confident that many of the skills I gained will also translate well into other Microsoft products. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone looking to strengthen their Excel automation and VBA skills.

I like this course a lot! It has enough detail to help me out create my first user form. For so long I wanted to do just that and never had the time to play with it. What made the course easy to understand was Kyle nice tone of voice, easy going guy, and that took away the stress. I will like to learn more to be able to create a search user form and allow my users search within the data as easy as possible.
