Instructor Details

Cristian Barin

Chris Barin is a professional web and app designer with nearly 10 years of Photoshop experience. He's also an Adobe Certified Instructor and Certified Photoshop Expert.

By being self-taught, he managed to gain the trust of over 290.000 students from all over the world through his Photoshop courses. A staple of his materials is a hand-on, down-to-Earth approach that focuses on getting maximum results with minimal effort.

Chris started out as a freelance web designer and built a loyal client base, earning over $50,000 by designing sites part time. Today, he runs his own Android design studio, 20+ strong, creating fantastic looking apps for clients; his apps have over 100 million downloads to date.

Passionate about teaching, Chris teaches on Udemy because he has been disappointed in the quality of training materials available for people who want to learn design. In his courses, he holds nothing back; he documents and shares his entire experience on how he managed to stand out from the competition and do the work that he loves full-time.

É um curso muito bom, prático e superior a outros de mercado. No entanto, sinto um pouco de falta de atualizações de novas ferramentas e pontos novos que são explorados em versões novas do Figma.

I didn't know anything about Figma going in and knew a little bit about the design aspect, but the course made Figma feel very intuitive and I especially loved that it approached both iOS apps and Android apps and their specific differences. I also appreciated the emphasis on designing apps that are functional and minimalistic. Overall, I feel a lot more confident after this course and the teacher was amazing at explaining his opinions and the more theoretical part of the course!

It's a really good course and easy to get through. The speaker communicates great and made it smooth to listen to, I rarely had to rewind to understand things even on 1.75x speed. There are some things he says that after I've spent a few weeks designing, I've realized only apply to pros. For example - skipping out on SF pro for iOS takes a lot of skill to pull off. It's easy to just leave SF pro on until you're more advanced. Overall though a great course to begin product design without overwhelming yourself.

Great first course for getting an initial exposure to both Figma and design. Found it helpful as a total beginner. Would appreciate a follow up course from this instructor about some more advanced Figma topics (e.g.: prototypes, responsiveness) and design principles/theory.

Great course for people new to UI design and Figma. I take away 1/2 of a start because of one thing... he recommends doubling the size of everything. I have looked at other figma UI kits freely available and this is never done. His logic is that you can see things better... but it's Figma, you can just zoom in and it will appear as big as you'd like. This also adds an extra step for developers when they have to convert the UI to the actual size.

Thank you for letting us know about your ability and skills to use Figma. The lecture is good. Recommended for beginners. Even if I forgot a specific function, it was explained briefly again in a later lecture, so I was able to learn it more quickly. Thank you~~

The training was excellent as it encompassed not only Figma but also delved into various aspects of mobile app design. Specifically, it provided valuable insights on utilizing design guidelines from Google and Apple, as well as covering advanced topics such as variants and components. I highly recommend it to beginners or mobile startups seeking comprehensive knowledge.

This course started out really strong. Great content delivered in an excellent style. Really glad I picked this course from the others that seemed to cover the same material. However, the content I was really interested in is using Figma for designing iOS apps. What a disappointment. Figma hardly even mentioned at all in the iOS section, and a totally different style of instruction and instructor. I actually wondered if there had been a "copy & paste" error by Udemy and the iOS section was erroneously copied from a different course! What a shame -- a really great start, but a big disappointment for me.

Instructions are simple easy to understand, and I can get my designing started, and become more motivated on the theory of a app functionality later. So far so good.
