Flutter - Beginners Course (Udemy.com)

Basically, this is not a flutter course, but instead, it's a walk-through of some basic flutter widgets at a very high level. There is nothing about how flutter works, nothing about lifecycle, neither of widgets or of app, nothing about state management, nothing about how to build for different screens or orientations. It's neither in this, nor in the intermediate course. And also it's outdated.

Speed, Explanation, is the problem the instructor handles the most important points of Flutter separately which was the reason for my decision to buy this course but he combines it with so many not explained points you could get more confused before the course. Last but no least Instructor has a very good voice, however the course is on point and picks up every section which is important to get in for a beginner, but next time pls more explanation would be very helpful

One of the very best learning experiences, bar none, to get to get to know essential Flutter and what's possible with it. Instructor builds each example from scratch so you learn Flutter as he offers critical insights. Like who knew you needed double-quotes to embed? Thanks to this class, I won't be looking at single-quote errors wondering 'what the...' and maybe giving up altogether. I'm thoroughly looking forward to the Intermediate and advanced classes. Want confidence in Flutter? Take the class!

Thanks Bryan, To be honest, i wasn't expecting for much and actually didn't know what to expect. The course seems to be short but it covers a lot for the basic understanding but it will not provide much to actually build anything. Its basically like lego, you learn about the different pieces but its all up to you to combine them together. I might add that there was room for more widgets/components and more theory but exploring the flutter documentation is part of the process anywasys if you want to learn it. moving onwards to the next series.

I tried couple of other courses and had trouble getting up to speed with Flutter Widgets, mostly because information was so disorganized. Although this course is not perfect, but it at least provides some basic Widget structure and I feel ready to implement basic UI. Also it's short and sweet. In reality I would give this course 4 stars, however compared that other courses did Widget introduction way worse, it deservers 5 stars for that.

Yes, it's worth every penny. I've went over a few Flutter courses and I've seen stuff even in this basic course that wasn't anywhere else. But that's not really the important part: the important part is the teacher. EVERY other instructor sounded like they were either daycare teacher, or had too much caffeine and were excited, or trying to be 'cool' (looking at you devslopes kids) and thinking they're on MTV or something. Bryan, in contrast, was perfect. His tone, the to the point tone, not trying to make you happy or sound cool, adult tone that conveys information in a clear and steady way is just what I needed: like a colleague at work quietly showing you some new stuff while sharing a coffee: like adults, not kids. Thank you Bryan for taking the gamble of being yourself and researching in depth your topics. It's why I'll buy every course you make.

We are introduced to some 30 Widgets (of 6 types) in this course. The brilliance of this basic approach is that this provides enough exposure to recognize a significant number of patterns for the Dart language, to get re-familiar with a useful variety of specific widgets. It is also enough experience to get comfortable with (one of) the powerful IDEs that have probably become a nearly vital partner for productivity. I have been dealing with somewhat related tools, and reading about Flutter for years now, but where to begin DIGGING in and learning if its the right tool to actually get down and dirty with now? This course allowed me to spend only as much time as I wanted/needed as I went along. It gave me a systematic exposure, and allowed me to try different things while getting a feel for how the tools fit together. For me, this has been the right medicine, at the right time, I'm not sure how else I could have gained this much traction in less than a week. Thanks Bryan for a job well done!

This is course helped me getting started with Flutter. The author present us the main concepts (Stateless/Statefull) and the main Widgets (Inputs/Scaffold widgets/Notification Widgets) in a clear and easy to follow steps. Moreover his english is clearly understandable, even for me, not a native English speaker. I look forward to begin the Intermediate course !

The explanation in the widgets was excellent, but we need to get more depth at some points because you need some level of experience to understand the whole lucky for me I got experience working with Java/Android and Nativescript so I don't struggle with some aspects. Maybe you could add a chapter for dart so you can get some key insights about the language that are useful for flutter in the examples listed in the course. Overall review Excellent!! minor changes needed for inexperience people, not affect how well I took the course.

Quick and short course that covers every basic Widget. The instructor is very good at explaining, humouristic and funny at times. One thing that I think can be improved though is that there are some typos to be fixed in the quizzes. Also, it'd be great if there were more real world examples of the Widgets/concepts explained. For example, instead of putting "Hello World" into a snackbar or dialog, put something that would fit that context. For example, a snackbar that says "You are now logged in." when a RaisedButton which says "log in" is clicked.
