In general, a good course covering lots of topics in both DRF and React. Could be a bit more structured in certain sections.

There is a lot of room to improve when it comes to the React part. It lacks structure in introduction and explanation while hopping around here and there with apology comments in most of React lectures. However, It is great in django part. I could gain a strong understanding particularly in django-channels utilisation as well as a bit of integration with React. I have experience carrying out a chat application project and following a basic React tutorial. I wouldn't recommend this lecture to beginners at all, but if you are aware of both and looking for better understanding. this content will be fantastic.

I initially think i will give a rating after finishing the course. But now i'm at about 45 chapter and can't stay without making 5 start rating. Because of your hark work and giving all of important information about all of the things. I think if someone once get your course, he/she not hesitate to get another course from you. Thank you very much. This is my first course from you and already interested of your contents. Thanks again.

I didn't know you could do these things with DRF X-D. The way Xander teaches is so clear and detailed that you will for sure learn new things. I have been using DRF from last 3-4 years for my own projects but never have I ever thought of using it the way instructor has used it. This will help me and anyone sincerely taking this course a lot in gaining end to end knowledge of DRF. His implementation of backend is totally decoupled from frontend so it helped me build just a working frontend in Angular with same features. His knowledge of frontend will help anyone building a reactive react app as well. But majorly this course delivers on Django rest framework spot on and would recommend to all level of django users. true 5/5 :-)

I am a the section 5.42 at the moment of writing this review. I would definitely not recommend this course as starting point to learn Django or React. It lacks some important aspects to be a beginner course: - A coherent structure of topics and concepts - Coding standards and project structure - Consistency in naming (files, variables, functions) It is an ok course as an example of how to develop a project with Django and React. I think course could have been significantly shorter and of a higher quality with more preparation and proper editing The main downside is that course seems to be recorded ad-hoc. - Often going on long detours in explaining certain topics (Which instead could be shorter on point explanation if prepared ahead) - Code mistakes. It is frustrating following with the code in my project, and to see 5min later there was somewhere a typo and now wasting while teacher is looking for typo to fix it, and now I need to follow as well. - Sometimes a certain terms / concepts are explained sometimes not. Feels like it was not completely decide who are main audience

This is by far the best Django course I've ever had. You really bring in all the concepts of complete web development as is the case with full-stack development. That's what I have been looking for in Django. Thank you for that.

There are certain areas in the course content where the delivery appears to be a bit unclear. While the overall content does eventually make sense, it does seem to have the characteristics of an ad-hoc course. Ideally, these courses should be well-prepared, and the instructional style should follow a structured approach. There are instances where video segments are quite lengthy, even though the author could effectively convey the information in less than five minutes with more focused content. It appears that there may be a lack of concentration in some parts of the courses, and at times, it feels like we are waiting for information to be presented without a clear direction. I still loved the course, but but it needs structured delivery.

By Yohan Jang on 8/9/2023

I've learned a lot, but the last part of the lecture feels like it stopped midway, so it's a bit disappointing. I had no prior experience with React, and in cases of no prior experience, it can be quite challenging. While I've learned a lot overall, there are some areas that I think could be improved.

By Anthony Narine on 8/4/2023

This is a really great course, I learned a lot. Zander's courses do not disappoint. You do need to have a solid grasp on React and Django he does not hold your hands (at least not for this course).

By Joaquin Isaia on 7/31/2023

The course was excellent, easy to understand, quite technical, and detailed. I particularly liked that we got to see and resolve errors that arose throughout the course, as they happened to the instructor. Although, I must admit that sometimes, this process became a bit tedious. Nevertheless, overall, it was a highly beneficial learning journey.
