Try FastAPI Test Driven Development (Udemy.com)

Very well organized, detailed, and complete. Covers topics not found anywhere else. There are some minor mistakes, but they do not diminish the high value of the course. Highly recommended for anybody who wants to build solid, structured foundations in Python test-driven development, with FastAPI , SQLAlchemy, Alembic, Docker, and PostgreSql in particular.

While this course won’t teach you FastAPI-specific skills, it’s a rare opportunity if you’re looking to develop tests using pytest at an intermediate to advanced level—and eventually set up test automation integrated with CI/CD pipelines. I’m not sure how many developers or environments will adopt these practices in the field, but if a team is automating tests at this level, they’re likely running a well-organized operation rather than just “winging it.” If you’re interested in testing, especially if you want a comprehensive understanding of various types of tests, I’d recommend this course over others that only offer basic pytest-based testing.

There are a lot of FastAPI courses on Udemy, but this is the only one I found that covers tdd. Overall the course is good, it covers the material well, and it filled in a lot of gaps in my knowledge. I hope the instructor updates to provide some tips for moving all of this into production or creates a separate course that does so. Pros: The concepts are well explained with lots of examples. All of the examples worked straight away. The demo project was realistic. Cons: The editing is not seamless and the instructor's work appears on screen before he's supposed to have written it. Not a huge deal. The examples in sections 6-8 get a bit repetitive, although these are easy to skip.

Although the course was published more than a month ago, the instructor has not fixed obvious issues which prevent you from coding alone: some lectures have to be reordered, some videos have not been edited properly. Overall, the course is OK if you are watching it passively.

I've been following his tutorials for years, such a great way of explaining the why behind things as opposed to just reading out the code that he's typing like so many tutorials tend to do. Bravo

Excellent! Not many on Udemy of this quality. Would be thrilled to have the project expanding to include topics such as Authentication and Authorisation if possible :)

I have only got to section 6 with all the setup but I have learned so many new things. This course goes into the weeds and is well worth the challenge as it covers topics one does not see elsewhere. Thanks! Would recommend even if only a few sections are done.
