I have over 23 years of experience as a Draughtsman & CAD Designer in a wide variety of disciplines and am an Autodesk Certified Professional in AutoCAD for Design and Drafting. I started on a drawing board learning traditional drafting skills and witnessed the introduction of CAD software into the industry. Originally starting on the very basic AutoCAD release 10 I have used every version of AutoCAD since as well as adding various other CAD software. This has given me a unique insight into how best to utilize these great tools in the real-world environment.
Over the course of my career, I've trained countless people in the use of these tools and as most of this training was geared towards getting staff members up & running with this software as quickly as possible, I developed a method that gets my students actually creating drawings straight away. We then gradually add more advanced techniques as we go.
"I look forward to helping you get started and working with you over the course of your development."

CAD modelling is not something I have done before, but this course and learning alongside the personal version of Autodesk Fusion was very helpful and I feel that I can use it with ease. I would suggest updating the course as there are some differences from your interface and mine through the various updates in the last 12 months.

Mike has done an extremely good job articulating & demonstrating how to model in Fusion 360 for a beginner who has zero experience who's looking to gain some knowledge which later can be applied for your own personal purposes. The layout of information from start to finish was practically perfect, I had looked at many YouTube videos previously to gain some free knowledge but most had skipped several important steps along the way making it confusing and overwhelming for a beginner to get started which Mike has personally sorted that issue out for me which I'm extremely grateful for ! Only constructive feedback I would leave for Mike would be to spend a little more time on some sections organising them better so there's a little less fumbling going on and to cut out background noises in some sections. Never the less very happy with the course & good value for money.

Guess it speaks for the course that I watched all lessons from beginning to the end. I liked the way the course is structured and the way Michael explained most of the details important but not everything so that one gets confused or even frustrated. Why only 4 of 5 stars - well I watched the course from Germany, my English is Ok but I'm not a native english speaker - the sound quality of the videos is not always good and contains drop-outs and other background noise making it more difficult to follow the content. I would have given the course 5 Stars if the sound quality would be better. Other than this great course!

Mike thoroughly covered all the fundamentals and then some in this course. Even though I had only a bit of CAD exposure at the beginning, I now feel capable of creating anything I need or solving any issues that come up. I enrolled in this course to get ready for my 3D printing venture, and I'm leaving with a strong sense of confidence. I'll definitely be exploring more of Mike's courses moving forward.

In less than 10 minutes I understand all of the toolbars, drop-down screens and preferences. I am no longer intimidated by this program. This is a very well designed curriculum. I don't think I can learn this faster. The " go back 5 seconds" button is very useful. I am quite sure that I will be able to make money doing welding shop shop-drawings fairly soon, which is my goal. Great course.

The information was very good. As a newbie to CAD modeling, I had the most trouble doing things like moving the object or orienting the part quickly as the instructor. To follow along is easy, but when you try to match the operations, I was constantly stopping the video and trying to catch up. Especially in selecting, moving, going from sketch to solid, etc. It seems that there are a lot of shortcuts or tricks that the instructor uses to speed up the process that I haven't figured out. I guess thats just the learning curve part that I am getting use to. This is probably more about me than the course. This is not a criticism, but just a status of how I'm doing.

Very comprehensive course covering all the basics. Only problem is that the versions of Fusion 360 vary slightly and will require you to make some adjustments to some of the settings. For example, in the joints his display doesn't show Motion Limits, you will need to adjust these accordingly.

I recently acquired a 3D printer and was looking for a design course to supplement my splicer software. Being a hobbyist I chose Fusion 360 for design . Tried to learn on my own but quickly found out that this was not the way to go. Signed up for Mike's course and sure glad i did . He was very good in explaining in details every lesson at a decent pace. I would highly recommend his courses . Thanks Udemy for introduction to Mike.!

I've spent 2 months reading and watching tutorials (including several highly recommended courses on YouTube). Mike pulls together pretty much everything a hobbyist would want to know in a short concise course that never left me bored or feeling like we missed something. He is also extremely quick to reply to questions. This is the best money I've spent this year!

Went a bit fast with the mouse at first which when you are learning the basics makes it difficult to follow. If the mouse cursor was a bit bigger and in a bright colour it would be easier. I kept having to replay the video at first to figure all the steps that had been taken - and I had to do this quite a lot and it was irritating. Once you have started to get the basics then it becomes a whole lot easier but you have to put the hours in to get to grips with everything but everything starts to fall into place. To make the best progress you need two screens - one for Fusion and one to play the course. I think it would be really hard going with one screen. Put the effort in and you will learn a lot.
