This course starts off with a lot of information regarding the use of the pen tool, the video are short but very direct about the topic being discussed. All Killer No Filler!!

I took this course even though I knew Illustrator somewhat and I think it was a great review. I learned some new tips and tricks that I haven't learned nor found even in Adobe Classroom books. The instructor was really enthusiastic in the lessons which was great.

An excellent explanation of how to use the pen tool in both Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. The course is a good reference to using the pen tool and applying short cuts to improve efficiency in drawing images.

Overall, I have found the teaching to be uneven and unclear. In some places, Dawid may explain a particular point very well, but then omits some important instructions on other points. The video itself was shot at low resolution and there were no keystrokes being shown on the screen, so it was impossible to know how long to hold down a particular key and when to release it (this is critical to getting the result I want). The tutorial was done on an older version of the programs, so it didn't match what I see on my system. When trying to follow along and create what Dawid was demonstrating, he omitted a lot of the necessary information and I ended up with either a tangled mess or my path totally disappeared from the page. I was very discouraged until I bought Adobe's Classroom in a Book for Illustrator CC 2017 and went through the pen tool exercises in that. I also consulted the Missing Manual for Photoshop CC, which had a good section on using the pen tool. I prefer to learn from videos to reading books, but in this case, this course just did not deliver on the basics, and I discovered that the books did. I have downgraded this course to 1 star because, after trying to listen to the next few lessons, I end up more confused and discouraged than I was before. Dawid knows how to use the Pen Tool, but his way of explaining things is terrible!

Excellent, simply and 'to the point information. This course title and description are accurate. The instructor keeps on track and incrementally adds purposeful layers of information throughout the course. I can certainly say I will be leaving the course with a much deeper understanding of the pen tool. While you won't be an expert by any means (you gotta put in the time), the course will certainly set you on path to becoming an expert in shape creation. Well done, well worth the money.

So far I am not feeling that this is delivering on the course objective...the issue is not that I cannot make a square shape, or add and subtract nodes....but rather my use of the tool stinks, so I was hoping for more hands on practice ....but maybe I will change my mind in a bit

This is an excellant course for me or other beginners to AI or PhotoShop. Dawid explains everything well & encourages us to have fun within AI or PhotoShop.

Instructor is great for beginners because he explains the nuances of the pen tool. I can see where this training will eliminate a lot of frustration in the future.
