Course Description
iOS Push Notifications: Beginner to Advanced
This course will take you on a deep dive into push notifications. So many courses teach the bare bones minimum - but there is so much more to know in order to build systems that are actually useful, effective, and that can reach users in the right way.
What You Will Learn
You'll start by learning the easiest form of notifications - Local Notifications. These type of notifications don't require a server, and are a quick way to reach users and deliver messages and content.
After that, you will learn how to work with iOS's native CloudKit. Not only will you learn how to build out a robust push notification system, but you take advantage of some amazing CloudKit APIs and work with both silent & visible notifications.
After CloudKit, you'll learn how to work with Firebase Cloud Messaging. Firebase is a powerful suite of tools that helps you build robust, scalable, mobile applications. You'll learn how to work with CloudFunctions and how to send both local and remote notifications for both iOS & Android.
Then you'll learn AWS. AWS can be super confusing. We break it down super simple and help you build a push notification system on top of AWS that can scale to millions of users.
Lastly, we'll jump on the hot new Vapor tool. Vapor lets you write server-side applications all in Swift. You'll build your OWN server to deliver push notifications - and you'll do it all in Swift. So not only are you learning push, but full stack application development!
The Course Breakdown:
Local notifications
CloudKit
Triggers

I got what I was looking for. The course is a little old but I have not found any difficulties so far. He covered all the aspect of notification very well whether if it is local notifications or push notifications. He also explained every bit of code very nicely. I am very satisfied with the course so far. Thanks Kilo Loco and Devslopes.

Course is very backdated , a lot of things does not work. For example section 4: Database part 2 , when i write firebase deploy i am getting error. Because we need a paid plan to do this.

Kilo Loco has a great style and always takes the time to explicitly explain what is happening and what and why we are doing things. Plus, we are just about to start the reason I got this course, using with Firebase. I am psyched that he addresses each of these variations.

Push notifications from ground up. It's a lot more fun and easy than expected. Thank god for iOS 10 push notification registration logic and iCloud, Firebase, AWS and Vapor. Nice detail on extension services. If you want to master push notifications and everything around it like serverside and testing environment this is the course I would recommend. Have not seen any other course this good for push notifications. (Don't think there will be)

Kyle did such an amazing job with this limited focus, but very in-depth course on push notifications. I especially liked that he took the concept and developed it with a wide variety of back-ends, from Firebase to AWS even a little Vapor to boot. I watched everything at 2x speed and followed along perfectly. Thanks for the humor and dedication to your craft!

Great experience with this course. Codes are extremely clean and well written unlike the RideShare devslopes course which was painful to watch. There was alot to learn especially in areas of code architecture other than just the Push Notification feature. Highly recommend it to all iOS developers. Kudos to Kyle Lee!

Estou gostando do curso

The knowledge contained in the course is at a decent level but Kyle Lee uses punishable practices like singletons or MVC. Where is the use of protocols for Dependency Injection ? Where is MVVM or MVVM-C ?. Why did you use Notifications instead of Delegates ?

Kyle is a very informative and entertaining instructor. I actually enjoyed the repetitiveness of some of the code and explanations as it helped me retain information better. Very well paced, good stopping points per video; everything comes in a nice managed package that's easy to digest per lecture. Highly recommended and looking forward to other courses offered by Kyle in the future.

Kyle is an excellent speaker and teacher. The concepts are difficult but somehow clearly explained. Each section is thorough and gives enough information to make significant progress. I look forward to seeing more courses from this instructor.
