Learn Advanced C++ Programming (Udemy.com)

So far, very good. I took the instructors beginner course and it was extremely good and I expected the same thing in this course and it is. The instructors answers my questions quickly and with a very detailed answer. I really like this course.

The course was good. It covered a lot of the features of C++11, and explained many of the nuances of C++ in general. The final project was interesting, but I thought the project's focus on fractals was a distraction. I would have preferred a project based on a simpler objective, so that the focus could remain more on using various features in C++ rather than focusing on the math and iterations of generating fractals.

The course is excellent, it covers several useful topics including C++ 11, and it also takes you step-by-step to create the interesting Mandelbrot project. Both author John Purcell and instructor James Raynard seem to dominate the subject a lot. I recommend this course to anyone who already knows the basics of C++.

I feel I learned a lot of new advanced C++ features. But one downside is that as time goes by C++ will release newer versions which makes the older version "old". As when I writing this review C++ 17 is the current version of C++ which have lot more features than C++ 11. Anyway, Thank you John for this course.

I am learning c++ as a hobby and am not pursuing a career in programming at this time, although opportunities may arise the more confident, I get. After taking the beginner c++ course. I decided to take the plunge and move on to the advanced c++. I think John is a great teacher and explains everything in great detail. I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking to further their skills in c++.

I was actually asked the covered subjects, to interviews. These are topics, demanded as knowledge by companies. The classes really apply to popular demand by the industry. The fractal exercise is fun and simulates how a complicated project will go about, the methodologies you have to adopt in order to reach your goals and the mistakes you will do. Overall a very engaging class. Highly recommended.

Many of the earlier tutorial lessons were blurry, and difficult to unblur. Sometimes I could restart the lesson, and often the focus was better - strange! The later lessons, from 80 onward, were larger type, and much easier to see on the screen. Overall, though, a very good course, and filled my deficiencies that I had in C++.

Abandonment of learning a programming language like C++ is tempting all the way as it is not easy to learn. Especially when you know how many things you have to keep in mind at the same time during the development. But John made this course the way you just don't want to quit. It is gripping. Good job, John!

I have learned many advanced topics from this course. However, I feel that project section can be improved siginificantly. Please desrcibe the entire proejct before you start with some class diagram/UML. Instructor directly moved to coding part which I do not like. If you describe the project with some graphical explanation/diagram/animation including design senses, I would love to give 5* rating. Still I recommend this course to anyone who are willing to learn C++ more. C++11 section is really good.

The course is great. May be some lectures should be shorter. The main shortcoming is, in my opinion, the lack of explanation of how to get the formulas for m_xCenter, m_yCenter and xFractal and yFractal, i.e. how actually to build the Mandelbrot Fractal. In summary, the course could be improved by using not just CamtasiaStudio, but other program or diagram that let to explain in a more informative way.
