I found the section on layering and which effects to apply (or not apply) to be extremely helpful. I immediately applied the concept to the piece I'm currently composing and found that it worked well. Thank you.

This class exemplifies the principle that less is more. Create space for the bass. Very beautifully explained. Thanks, Mike!

Very useful tips and tricks from Mike as always. The bass is a very huge topic but this is a good intro for beginners. Recommended..

Really cool stuff in here I've never heard of or thought of. Mike is a serious student of music production and music theory and it shows. Great course so far

Mike is really good at explaining the concepts. My current project was getting muddy and this course is helping me understand what I need to do to to keep it crisp. Thanks Mike! Making lots of sense, and I'm only on lesson 4!

I may have understood this course incorrectly when I purchased it but I was expecting more in depth sound design analysis on how to create different bass sounds and how to effectively accommodate them in a mix. There was useful information in this course, but it could all be contained in a few short lectures and the rest felt like filler. There's a lot of lists in this course and it felt like it was largely aimed at absolute beginners, which is strange given that it assumes some prior knowledge of music software.

This guy is probably one of the best teachers in Udemy-he covers subjects that are sometimes overlooked and with a great degree of common sense & insight.Great Job-only criticism is the video sometimes is out of focus.

As always, Mikael's approach is clear and well organized. He provides excellent musical examples for all of the concepts he is using throughout. His insight into composition and his own ability to play and present the information is outstanding!

I totally recommend it. The different styles of creating the bass lines will greatly improve my compositions. Thank you Mike. I'm your fan.
