This course is incredible, it has so much depth, explaining everything from melody to harmony, intervals, chords, chord progressions, variation, playing style and more. All of the theory is practically demonstrated on the keyboard - I got so many ideas just by listening to what he played while explaining a topic. Highly recommended to anyone interested in taking their music composition skills to the next level.

I’m listening thru first before I work on and thru the examples you’ve given. I hear things that I am applying to my composing as I hear and understand how, why and where to use them. I’m delighted to somewhat understand things I’ve heard and can now apply , I’m enlightened!

Just tons of excellent information to help create the toolkit to get to work composing and adding musical feeling and creating interest. That was after the first block of instruction. And it only gets better and better. This is a course that spans theory, composition technique and performance technique as well. So glad I purchased the course and took the time to complete it.

Excellent course, although i'm a guitarist and not a piano player i've got a bit overwhelmed by the sheer amount of techniques of the piano for composition. I think that i can go over all of them eventually and adapt it all. But aside from that, from the compositional stand-point this course really helps going from zero to hero when composing using chords, it'll surely help you out.

Mike is a great teacher, very knowledgeable with a laidback approach which fits my needs perfectly. I can actually feel myself learning! Mike is more like a coach, giving you the information you need, showing examples of how it can be implemented before encouraging you to try it out yourself... Top marks on a well structured course 5 stars is not enough imho.

I'm absolutely amazed by the quality and amount of care tailored into this course. It's recorded and edited in high standards, sounds and video. Mike explains everything carefully and to the point, using the examples all the time. I also really like his philosophy on music in general, like those comparisons of music and story, etc. I love that we are regularly given tasks and tips to soak in the material we have learned through the course. It's clear that these lessons took Mike some preparation and time to be this well constructed. I've already seen a few of other Mike's courses that interest me and judging by this one, I can't go wrong by investing my money in them. Thank you!

I loved the teaching, the diagrams and the virtual 'take my hand and let me show you the way to do this' approach, took the fear out of a new person such as myself. This course felt so good, I watched it all in one day I couldn't let go. All of the tips and especially the PDF's were just what I needed to get a better understanding of what I am doing. THANK YOU!

Think you know chords ? Probably not as well as you think. New to music or just wanting a good refresher ? This course is very well done and Mike the teacher is very passionate about all that he teaches. I highly recommend this course to anyone that really wants to dig in deep into chord formula's and everything that is the very foundation of music. Having played music my entire life and now having the time to really get back into music, I picked up a lot of things I forgot and learned some new things as well. Very good course and I have enrolled in more of Mike's classes. You can't go wrong with this course.

This is very helpful to me. I'm a violinist by training and don't do chords, but I want to be able to compose my own music so I need a good understanding of them. The instructor presents them in an easy to understand way. There is a lot of information in this class and you have to practice to get the most out of it. "How to do you get to Carnegie Hall? Practice, practice, practice!"
