How to Compose Ambient Music (Udemy.com)

I always learn a lot from Mike's courses. I've done a few now, and this one gave me lots to work with as expected. It's mainly a relaxing hobby for me to operate synthesizers (recording on a Zoom H5) and occasionally I need music for something like a video, and want to create it myself. I know enough from this and other courses by Mike, that I feel confident when I quickly need to act as a composer. Ambient music seems easy to compose and I appreciated having a course to guide my efforts that were frustrating prior to finding this course.

Very cool course, like many courses from Mike are. As usual it's very short but that's because it goes straight to the point without wasting time and for what it is and for how specific it is.. it's kind of awesome.
Not giving 5 stars for some reasons:
1. it would be cool if alternative plugins woul dbe suggested inside the course since well... almost 100% of the plugins used are either super excpensive OR logic native.
2. since there are three types of ambient music in the course.. it would have been cool if at the end there would be a live compositiong for each style, not just one of them.
3. Mike seems to NEVER answer in the D&R section. I know he's very active on his forum beeing part of it.. but since I have to leave a review for this course well.. I guess people paying for this expect the teacher to be active in answering their questions in the D&R directly on Udemy.

I absolutely love Mike's teaching...everything about it! It is exactly what I am looking for.

Simply Excellent. Accurate, clear, focused, dense, intense

There was a lot of good material and I learned a lot but there two major issues I had: (1) the instructor did not answer my questions (2) the last part - live creation demo - he did show us the details of the sounds he was using (opening the instrument and showing patches and settings) very often, and also he did a lot of the work on 2nd monitor which was not recorded. So the last part was not as useful as it could have been.

No, I didn't find this course a good match for what I wanted from it, I'm very sorry to say.
