Course Description
Mindfulness is a transformative practice that involves deliberately focusing your attention on the present moment without judgment. It empowers individuals to observe their thoughts, emotions, and sensations as they arise, fostering self-awareness and emotional regulation.
By fostering self-awareness and promoting non-judgmental acceptance of one's thoughts and emotions, mindfulness can reduce stress, enhance emotional resilience, improve focus, and promote better relationships. It has the potential to boost overall mental health, leading to a greater sense of calm, clarity, and contentment in daily life.
Moreover, studies have suggested that mindfulness can also have a positive impact on physical health, potentially lowering blood pressure, improving sleep quality, and even boosting the immune system. These benefits, among others, make mindfulness a valuable tool for those seeking to enhance their quality of life.
In our Mindfulness Teacher Training course, you'll gain the knowledge and skills to not only experience these benefits for yourself but also to guide others on their journey towards a more balanced and harmonious life through the practice of mindfulness.
You will learn:
Gain a comprehensive understanding of mindfulness theory, including the core principles, mechanisms of action, and the distinction between state and trait mindfulness.
Explore various approaches to mindfulness, from its historical development to contemporary applications in therapies like MBSR, MBCT, ACT, DBT, and more.
Develop essential mindfulness techniques such as focusing, noticing, detaching, and labelling to effectively practice mindfulness in daily life.
Discover the wide range of applications for mindfulness, including its use in managing conditions like depression, anxiety, pain, weight, addiction, and even enhancing focus, sports performance, and quality of sleep.
Learn how to teach mindfulness, including the foundational elements, coaching strategies, and common misconceptions, whether in clinical settings, in-person, or online.
Understand the safety considerations associated with mindfulness practices and how to address adverse events and risks effectively.
Explore various career pathways related to mindfulness and the diverse population groups for which mindfulness practices can be tailored, from children to older adults and those with mental illness.
Access example mindfulness practices and transcripts to apply and reinforce your learning.
The course is thoughtfully designed, featuring video lectures, downloadable resources, quizzes, practical exercises, and a comprehensive course handbook. Each module is assessed by a multiple-choice exam. This course is accredited by the International Association of Therapists. On completion, you'll receive the standard Udemy certificate of completion. If you wish to become a registered member of BAMBA, you will require further training.
This course takes a deep dive into mindfulness. If you would prefer a broader course on meditation, you may wish to consider our Meditation Teacher Training course instead. It won't cover anywhere near as much detail but will explore a range of meditation techniques as well as the historical context. Both courses complement each other and all of the lessons are individual to each course.

Very good mindfulness teaching course. Everything was presented clearly and logically. I feel I have a good handle on understanding what mindfulness is, how I can personally use it, and how I can guide others through a practice. The role playing was extremely helpful and gave me confidence that I can successfully teach mindfulness sessions. The instructor was easy to follow, had a solid lesson plan, and made the course enjoyable as well as informative and practical. Well done.

Chris' explanations are thorough and easy to understand. He sums up the main ideas of mindfulness and creates a sound foundation which we can build further knowledge on. He also elaborates on the benefits of mindfulness and gives advice on how to lead mindfulness practices for various audiences.

The practices are good. I found it to be a bit dry though. I have ADD and had trouble focusing because of the dry delivery. I know that part of it is on me, but the monotone delivery was hard to pay attention to.

I loved every minute of this study, to be honest the best practice videos ever especially the Body Scan and the Focus Practice has convinced me as this is it, this is what I love to do daily and I can find myself as a teacher who love to spread this practice to everyone. Is really phenomenal and useful. Since that day I have studied I feel so calm and alert of my feelings and sensations. Without any joking I have thought meditation is my key to feel calm and peaceful but Mindfulness though me a different level of peace. I would like to recommend this studies to anyone who love to know about our awareness… best wishes and thanks again, Naomi

This was a great course and helpful. I really enjoy the instructor. He is very precise and easy to understand and follow. I like how he shows you the research to support the learning, as well as helps you understand the practicality of it. I look forward to incorporating this into my practice more. Highly recommend this course.

The course is very clearly structured and easy to digest. As you progress, you gain a deeper understanding of mindfulness and its areas of application. I appreciate how the course is research-based, and while it often only touches on the surface, there are so many leads that inspire to dig deeper for an even better understanding. Similarly, the practice sessions are brief but representative, and the transition from practice to teaching comes with valuable advice and pertinent notes of caution.

Very easy to follow modules from an experienced teacher. English is not my first language so I found the manual and transcripts very helpful. The example practices are excellent and serve as a basis for teaching. I am very happy to have completed this training.

I did this course because I am working towards a qualification in the field of mental health. I have a personal interest in mindfulness and was considering mindfulness teaching as a possible alternate career pathway or something which I could integrate into my future counselling practice. This course provides a good overview of the mindfulness practices and mindfulness teaching methods. The only criticism I have is that the course could have gone into more depth about the formal methods of mindfulness teaching and the videos could have been slowed down and gone into a bit more detail and depth. However for a person who is looking to get started with mindfulness teaching this course is a good starting point as it provides a good overview of what is involved in mindfulness teaching.

As a meditation and mindfullness student for 3-4years and my husband is an e_learning specialist for 15+ years, this course is quite user friendly, it's informative and the material is delivered in a very clear and helpful way. I definitely recommend this course to anyone looking to teach or simply to improve their knowledge about mindfulness. The world needs more people taking time to slow down and just breathe.
