Actually goes through the process and details in developing a web app, the explanations are understandable and thorough, and shows a clean and simple way of building a web while showing practical tools. Because of continuous updates in different modules and libraries I kept going back and forth in certain documentations for syntax and methods from nextjs and shacn UI, but I found this course valuable regardless.

I enjoyed learning to format the dates and build out the form and tables. I used sonner for the toast ui since the toast shadcn/ui was deprecated.

By John Stoops on 8/13/2025

This is a well organized and engaging tutorial. I good approach for doing basic transactions that can be expanded for any app needing that. My favorite part was using Grizzle for the ORM which is a great alternative to Prisma.

By Ian Strascina on 7/16/2025

Cannot get the project set up correctly. At the time I'm viewing this, `npx create-next-app@latest` is using Tailwind v4, which shadcn currently doesn't seem to support (? ‍♂️).

Just finished the first section of authentication and am loving it......The React18 configuration and intial setup is the crucial topic covered in this course unlike others on udemy.... helping you overcome alot of code breaks that might occur in React19

I love Tom's next js courses. Always learning something new. I already took Tom's tanstack start course which builds the same project so it was nice to see a comparison between the 2 frameworks

Excellent, as always. Highly recommended. This instructor always manages to balance giving just enough explanation and keeping things moving at a good pace. Clear and easy to understand.
