I took this course following on from a procedural PHP course, as I needed to learn CodeIgniter for a new job. I am quite new to coding, and some of the concepts can be difficult to grasp, but Edwin is quite good at explaining things. He's always very quick to respond to queries if your stuck and the QA section is a really good resource, as others have probably come across the same issues in the past. Overall, this is a very good course that I would highly recommend for anyone wishing to learn the fundamentals of CodeIgniter. Money well spent.

I purchased this course in 2018 and after completing and coding along with a few sections, I took a break to practice what I learned. As I progressed, I kept watching the new lectures to help me strengthen my newly learned framework application. There are enough examples to cover all the CRUD functions, applying layouts, and sessions. Edwin explains what he is doing, why, and what it all means. Definitely worth the value!

This is a great course. The videos are mostly short, the instructor is clear and even motivating and the lessons go by in good pace. I believe, however, more in-depth explanations about models and controller in CodeIgniter could make the course even better, other than that it´s excellent. You won´t be disappointed.

Yeah! It was a nice course but too much mistakes he made in every lecture. I have taken his approx. 5 to 6 courses and all are good. Good Edwin! Keep it up. But please make some course on Restful API also.

I found this course very useful, Instructor has command over topic and he explains things very well and made them simple to understand. and the final project is applicable to real world you can make your website easily after completing this course. If anyone wants to learn codeigniter this course is very much recommended, but remember the advice of instructor before starting the course, i.e set goal for every days like, do X numbers of tutorial everyday. otherwise you might lost your interest and end up leaving project midway.

I wish I knew about this a year ago. It would have saved me almost a year of work. I don't like all those heavy frameworks so I was building my own. This is way better. Edwin basically walk through the creation of a project which was very helpful and provided me a lot of insights. I was able to copy the project code to my server and run it with very minor config changes and start editing it within minutes. Within a day I had already customized it for one of my projects. I have only 2 complaints. 1) he used the alternative style of PHP for web pages even if there was no HTML. Every line of PHP was wrapped in php tags for some reason. Plus he puts lots of blank lines everywhere. Not just double spaced. Lot's of blank lines everywhere. I did a search and replace to remove all blank lines and manually added the ones I thought were appropriate. 2) During his instruction he would switch between files quickly and sometimes without any warning. It was difficult to stay on top of which file he is editing because there were no clear indications of when he switched and what he switched to. I had to pause often and inspect the screen to see the file names. I watched the video at double speed so that was part of the problem but I normally can follow everything at that speed. It would have been very helpful if the video had the current file name posted somewhere prominently. I really enjoyed learning from Edwin. He is a great and passionate instructor and I'll most likely get other courses from him.

I Like very much how the teacher present the information and his method of doing the exercises! Doing things along with the teacher lead to learning a lot of things in short time.
