PHP MVC Framework CodeIgniter Tutorial for Beginners Project (Udemy.com)

I purchased this course in 2018 and after completing and coding along with a few sections, I took a break to practice what I learned. As I progressed, I kept watching the new lectures to help me strengthen my newly learned framework application.

There are enough examples to cover all the CRUD functions, applying layouts, and sessions. Edwin explains what he is doing, why, and what it all means. Definitely worth the value!

I took this course following on from a procedural PHP course, as I needed to learn CodeIgniter for a new job.

I am quite new to coding, and some of the concepts can be difficult to grasp, but Edwin is quite good at explaining things.

He's always very quick to respond to queries if your stuck and the QA section is a really good resource, as others have probably come across the same issues in the past.

Overall, this is a very good course that I would highly recommend for anyone wishing to learn the fundamentals of CodeIgniter.

Edwin is a dedicated instructor who wants his students to do well. This course has given me a solid understanding of MVC design. MVC is the big skill you learn hear. Code Igniter is just one framework to use that skill. Code Igniter is a great framework, but there are many jobs that need people who know MVC design. Once you learn how MVC works, it's easy to translate it to different frameworks and languages. I really like how Edwin codes on the fly, and then debugs stuff right there in the video. Some instructors come off like the never make coding errors. That's just not realistic. You also have to know how to debug and look up documentation. Because that's how it is in the real world. Getting this course and MVC under my belt is really starting to advance my career.
