This course is showing you exactly how to use Power BI features that are being tested during the exam, I know because I failed the exam first time taking it and I know exactly what type of questions there are. This instructor shows you the theory and explicitly shows you exactly how and what a feature does, so you learn practically, making it difficult to forget. Besides this, you get awesome knowledge to use Power BI by doing all exercises.

Does a good job of showing mechanics of power bi features, but weak on the real world application.(Like showing mechanics of PBI perf analyzer, but not showing real world example of good and bad performance.)

Best structured PL-300 prep out there I'm a Data Analyst with hands-on Power BI experience and was looking for a course that goes beyond the basics. Nikolai Schuler's PL-300 course delivers exactly that. The content follows the actual exam domains closely, the DAX and data modeling sections are genuinely practical, and the pacing works well for working professionals. Nikolai doesn't pad the content — clear explanations, real-world examples, and solid practice questions throughout. Highly recommended if you're looking to formalize your Power BI skills with a Microsoft certification.

This course is good for beginners and is oriented as per the PL-300 exam course syllabus. If you are someone who is beginning their journey in Power BI or looking to do so, this course could be a great start. Nikolai has kept the course brief and yet tried to cover all important aspects. If you are specifically targeting the PL-300 exam, I would suggest to go through the Microsoft learn as well along with this course. The resources in this course mentions links to Microsoft learn, so parallelly going through the Microsoft learn content would help in understanding the Power BI underlying behavior in much detail. There are some things I would like to highlight which could be added to the course though like more illustrations of the DAX functions and creation of those measures using time intelligence functions in a bit more detail. Also some visuals like Decomposition tree, Key influencers could have been added including newly added DAX functions. Moreover in the other courses by Nikolai in one of the practice tests of PL-300 Power BI he suggested keeping the inactive relationship and using userelationship function instead while Microsoft learn suggests to avoid that and use DAX to create a calculated table to copy the role playing dimension table, ensuring active relationships are implemented. Yes it depends on the scenario but this is the general suggestion I found in official resources. Lastly I would like to say that I passed my PL-300 exam yesterday in my very first attempt, so I thank Nikolai for this course. I suggest my fellow learners if their target is acing the PL-300 exam is to use this course and Microsoft learn as a base, practice the labs available in the Microsoft learn for Power BI hands on and give a few practice tests before the exam and refer youtube videos discussing past PL-300 actual exam questions, that will help a lot. Also Microsoft's association with Credly has ended so we won't get the badge from them upon passing the exam. This is another thing that can be updated in the course.

I got this one at a discount, so my opinion might be different depending on what you pay. The course isn't fully up to date, but it covers almost everything you need for the exam in a condensed format, enough for what the test actually expects from you. I still think it's a good resource to invest in, maybe not as your only source, but a solid addition for consolidating your knowledge.

I hope Nikolai could read my comment after I took the exam so the course can be improved further. 1. yes, taking this course helped me to pass PL300 with a score around 70% - 80%, this is already enough for just passing the exam. However, if your goal is to get more than 90%, better go with original material or practice exam questions. 2. my suggestion to course content -- I feel live connection / access control / RLS / workspace role / Azure net / web space / case study of import or DQ are more, need to add these details to the course. Analysis part and AI part seems to be also increased in the test. and third, there are DAX expressions such as TOPN, TOTALYTD, etc not emphasized in the course, DAX part need to improve. All test questions are more company-based scenario than individual usage.

I finished the course around 3 weeks or so because i was a bit lazy. But i liked the content overall. I used to know most of these though. The course helped me to remember some of what i knew and of course i learnt some good stuff as well. I have scheduled my exam on 28 march 2026, one month is left. i hope to pass it succesfully and post it as well. Thank you

The presenter is charismatic and engaging. It was the lift I needed when going through some of the DAX modules on the Microsoft website. The course did require some extra study on the Microsoft site but really helped with many of the concepts. Well done Nikolai
