The course has a lot of useful concepts and it's very complete, but I think that the videos could be more interactive or told like the first Intro story and not like reading a ppt because it was too tiring. Maybe you can do a better and more extensive-learning ppt to download and then be more efficient to talk it in the section videos. One example of this is the chapter "social media automation" where the author want to explain Manychat in record time. It was so stressful. I thought that I put 2x velocity and it was normal!! Imagine that... MORE CONTENT, BUT IN A GOOD WAY. IF NOT, LESS BUT BETTER.

By Dan Burke on 10/2/2025

The materials for this course were very thorough, and Dekker's delivery was very engaging. I learned a considerable amount about marketing, particularly from an entrepreneurial standpoint, and I imagine that I will revisit areas from this course to generate new ideas. Where the course faltered was when there were chapters that appeared to be advertising for a product, rather than a pertinent lesson in marketing. This case is especially true in Section 4: Messaging under Chapter 19, which was where Dekker pitched a marketing product titled Manychat. I felt less like I was learning about modern marketing and more being sold on a software product. The same goes for Trupeer. Some of the PowerPoint slides also had blatant typos that should have been corrected, and times where Dekker was reading verbatim off these slides instead of using visual aids to elaborate upon key ideas. Otherwise, it was a well-paced course with a lot of useful information, and I learned a lot from it.

Lots of very good content, but also too many formulas, frameworks etc. when I think the role of a PMM needs more flexibility. But as guidance and planning roadmap it's a fantastic content, where each one can pick what's more relevant to them at each specific moment. I'm glad I will have life time access to this course, for sure I will consult it often to support me at work.

As someone who has experience of taking new products to market, but does not come from a background in marketing this really helped bring to life the key steps involved in a solid go to market strategy. Easy to consume, yet highly relevant content kept me engaged throughout!

Amazing Course I know it's read from a book but the value is amazing. Will probably come back to this course since thier are things I need to watch again to make sure it sticks in my mind but overall highly valuable course. Love Dekker Fraser's courses it's amazing.

Update after finishing course: Great structure and info. Dekker is easy to follow, and explains complex concepts clearly. I'm definitely going to buy other courses by Dekker simply because the quality and delivery was so good. At first glance most of Dekker's courses focus on sales and ads. This course is mildly technical and very practical. I would love a course that is high-minded in strategy and less focused on numbers and tactics. I'd also definitely be interested in a course on how to become a marketing consultant for small businesses. -- Previous review: This is a truly great course, and very information dense. I also agreed with most points made and the overall content. It was more informative and practical than most of my university classes. Some critical feedback to consider: -I liked most of the examples given, but sometimes claims are made without enough of an example or reference to back them up. I think an intro is needed to establish more authority, or real-life anecdotes if no external references are used. -Some quiz answers are tricky, unclear, or even arguably incorrect / dependent on context and who you ask. -The text on screen is often long-winded and exactly word-for-word what is being read aloud. This works for short statements, however I would prefer if the text on the screen were summarizing key points and takeaways. Once it goes beyond a couple sentences, it is too much and I find myself unable to listen and read and comprehend all at the same time. I'm pausing constantly to reiterate a point in my own words in notes, which is a good practice anyway. -Lastly, there are typos on screen and errors in the audio, such as a dog clicker or a repeated phrase, that would not be acceptable if I'd purchased this course at full price. I'd still buy it with these errors, but it is to say that despite the assumed authority of the presenter, there is room for improvement.

Information is current and matches the complexity of what I need. The course also presents information not found in other courses on the same topic. The course lists current, relevant book titles, software, and other resources.

This course is absolutely the only thing you need from a real-world product marketing perspective. It speaks about the latest tools that anyone is looking forward to using in a real-world product launch. I have been a demand generation marketer, along with working on a lot of the traditional product marketing manager duties like the voice of customer research, content creation for customer-facing as well as internal teams, etc., and have been using a lot of the tools/processes mentioned in this program to drive top-line revenue. I enrolled for this course to get a structure on how best to execute a lot of the PMM responsibilities in a streamlined manner and I absolutely love the course. If anyone is looking forward to transitioning into a full-fledged product marketing manager role, this is the only course you will need to truly understand how to go to market!

By Bugs Subramaniam on 3/27/2021

This program has been a great deep dive into product marketing and is chockful of ideas, insights and best practices! Highly recommend for someone who's looking to get into product marketing or is interested in learning the nuances. Great investment of time and money!

By Emiliano Di Giorgio on 5/26/2020

The content of the course is good, however it is not presented in a way that makes it easy to focus on the concepts. It can be somewhat disappointing when: - there´s a mismatch between the slides and the audio, sometimes the slides are skipped fast. - sometimes there are silent pauses and/or things are repeated twice - I don´t understand what´s the need to read the titles of the slides or describing the colors of the graphs / table that are shown - The audio volume goes up and down - the narrative is not engaging, with the feeling that it is a machine reading a text.
