Course Description

Learn R Programming by doing!

There are lots of R courses and lectures out there. However, R has a very steep learning curve and students often get overwhelmed. This course is different!

This course is truly step-by-step. In every new tutorial we build on what had already learned and move one extra step forward.

After every video you learn a new valuable concept that you can apply right away. And the best part is that you learn through live examples.

This training is packed with real-life analytical challenges which you will learn to solve. Some of these we will solve together, some you will have as homework exercises.

In summary, this course has been designed for all skill levels and even if you have no programming or statistical background you will be successful in this course!

I can't wait to see you in class,

Sincerely,

Kirill Eremenko

Good to start, very likeable faculty, could make course much better

By Nathan Louise

This course is really well designed. The pace is perfect, the explanations are clear, the exercises are challenging, I feel like I'm learning a lot and learning efficiently. There is good focus on the theory but also on practical skills. Kirill is an engaging and clear communicator. Don't go anywhere else for your first course in R!

The only faults are the first and last videos in the course. Kirill introduces us to the course while taking us on a walk "through Africa", and ends the course with a walk in "Tasmania, Australia" next to a particular lake and mountain which he names.

It is unacceptable to characterize Africa, a large and diverse continent, by the location Kirill was in. It might have been more acceptable if his last video was of him in "Oceania". The cultural insensitivity (and white privilege) here is problematic.

But otherwise, this course is brilliant!

This course is just what I wanted to kickstart my learning experience in R. I am currently pursuing actuarial science and it's important for me to understand the basic coding and advanced codings in R as it is widely used across my domain industry of Insurance & Finance. Thanks a lot for this course now I will be able to learn the statistical part of R programming.

I've taken many courses from Kirill. He is by far my favorite instructor. Keep it up! I hope you visit the bay area for a data science conference. (I wasn't able to attend the one in San Diego last month)
