Every line of was code was explained clearly. Though one or two videos needs to be updated (for example Shadcn UI no longer supports 'form' components and use 'Field' component instead). Other than that I really liked the course as well as the Instructor.

The course is generally helpful, but it often feels a bit rushed. It doesn’t really introduce the UI system from a big‑picture perspective, which makes it harder to understand the overall architecture. At times it dives too deeply into small details without first explaining how everything fits together. A more structured, high‑level overview would make the learning experience much clearer.

I'm 1/3 through the corse. It's not bad, but often skips explanations, and it's outdated in some areas. It still works for me, because I've finished another react+nextjs course and I'm an experienced programmer. Sections 3 and 4 (forms) do not work with the latest versions of shadcn and zod. I've spent many hours making the forms work. One suggestion - in most other udemy courses I took, the instructor gives students assignments to complete a part of the project on their own, using what they've learned so far. I find it very useful.

A comprehensive Shadcn UI course that covers virtually every detail you'll encounter in day-to-day development; Reminder: No matter how good a course is, it's difficult to master everything in one go - you need hands-on practice and repeated exercises to truly learn it.

I really enjoy Tom's courses as I always need to stay up to date on various approaches to enhance user experience but from a developer/engineer perspective. His teaching style is easy to follow and just requires a basic understanding as he never assumes anything in his courses. Highly recommend his courses if you want to ramp up on any of the technologies he focuses his courses on. Keep them coming Tom, your courses are amazing and fun to work through. Love how you always update your course material as well. Cheers!

Instructor explains the material extremely well. The course material and how it’s applied is excellent and well organized. The approach to the course could’ve been more comprehensive, covering most if not all of the shadcn components, as well as providing input into when to use the more esoteric components.

Overall, the Shad Ui course is a fantastic investment for anyone looking to deepen their understanding of UI design. It’s well worth the time and money, and I highly recommend it to anyone serious about pursuing a career in this field. Thank you for creating such an outstanding learning experience!

What an excellent course! Tom explains concepts in a straightforward manner and with great expertise. He also shows how to customise shadcn components in great detail and shares some nifty Tailwind tricks along the way. Really enjoyed the course and highly recommend it!
By Keith Goddard on 3/10/2024
I found this to be an amazingly useful course. My expertise with programming is NOT the UI side of things, and I've always kind of dreaded working on the "look and feel" of any website. However, Shadcn is a really nice UI "library", and this course was perfect for me to understand how to get the most out of it. Tom has a really good grasp on the library, and Tailwindcss in general, and is a very good explainer of concepts. As a plus, he responds very quickly to questions and updated his course with extra videos to deal with issues raised by students. Absolutely recommend this for people looking for a good explanation of Shadcn with NextJS.

fantastic course!!! Tom goes into all the details. The perfect amount of components and well chosen, cards, tables, date picker, forms, etc. So you feel extremely confident with the remaining components that weren't covered if you need to then learn them on your own. Additionally, he goes through all the different ways of customizing different parts of shad cn. I built along with him and will probably use this as a beginning to build my scaffolding site. Highly HIGHLY recommend.
