Course Description
What are we building?
In this course, you will learn how to build an MVP version of Twitter with strictly Swift UI using the MVVM architecture. This is the only course on the market that builds a fully functioning app as complex as Twitter using nothing but SwiftUI. We will be building this completely from scratch, starting with the User Interface skeleton, and working our way up to integrating our API with Firestore and data models. This course WILL take your development skills to the next level, using the latest and greatest techniques in modern programming.
We will be building all the core components of a social network. This includes following users, uploading/liking tweets, direct messaging, creating a user profile, and registering users. Throughout the process, you will develop high level programming, app design and app development skills. We will be building this without the use of storyboards, fully programmatically.
Prior Experience?
Some programming and basic Xcode experience is preferred. The course will move a little fast if you're a complete beginner, but you will pick things up along the way.
Why take this course?
Learning advanced development skills should be taught using real world examples. This course will teach you how to build a fully functional social network, from complete scratch. You will be learning advanced front and backend development skills, from a real life professional developer. You will learn how to code like a pro, and everything will be explained in detail along the way. This will teach you to build production ready applications, that are easily scalable and maintainable. This also makes for a great project to add to your portfolio, which you can use to show off to potential employers if you're trying to become a pro.

I've done a few swift & swiftUI courses with different people & used quite a few different youtube videos. About half way through this one and it's been the most enjoyable of all of them. The pace is good & Stephan explains in a relaxed way at the end of each video what's going on. Also makes a huge difference to connect up the back-end and see the whole picture.

This is the second SwiftUI course I have taken by Stephan. Overall I enjoyed the course. What’s good about it? Like the instructor says, not a vast array of project based SwiftUI courses as yet and Twitter is a good example to cover many features seen/expected in a modern app. I’m also gad this one was filmed in a standard monitor with presentation sized text for the code. (His other course has a widescreen monitor and the code size is not good when he switches to that monitor) What could be better? 1) Resources don’t contain the viewModels 2) Way too many references to the side hustle / source code monetisation 3) recording the project after the fact means what you see on screen doesn’t always match where you are. This could be confusing to some. 4) Some people might be iffy about the f-bombs the instructor drops. Didn’t bother me personally but some will likely be put off by it. Is it value for money? Yes, it’s worth your $10-$15 price tag. Would I buy further courses from Stephan? Yes probably, depends on him sorting out some audio (computer fan) and fixing/optimising the screen for video on Udemy (large font size and shooting in a normal aspect ratio so it suits the Udemy video player. Worth 4 stars, more attention resources inclusion and offering the notifications, retweets would have taken it to a 5 star course.

Okay this course was amazing but there are some disappointment because one you showed us the side menu at the intro and you talked about the comments but you didn’t included them and that was really disappointing, second thing you showed us that when we unfollowed someone there tweets doesn’t shows anymore abd when we following them there tweets comes again. But this course war really really really helpful and awesome, thank you so much

The course has a very good flow, starting on how to build the UI and progressively building the functionality. I like the authenticity of the instructor. I am used to other courses where there code matches what is taught on that lesson or section. Having only the fully completed code, makes it difficult to find problems with your own code as there is no easy way to reverse engineer the evolving code from the finished code. I had to repeat the video on a few occasions just to find out where I had a typo. Good value for the money, and I understand the upsell to the polished final verion. But if you are not prepared to go lesson by lesson as you build the code, don't take the course as you won't be able to skip lessons.

Stephan is the best instructor for me in udemy. I love his way of teaching, because in his code no storyboard there, he follows MVVM architecture. Also i am waitting for his course on Tinder and Uber using swiftUI.

I am giving this a 5 star review because although I wish Stephan would have mentioned that the feed would be of all tweets instead of tweets by users the individual follows, it was still a ton of great information packed into this course!

I really liked the course and the project itself, but the only reason why I bought this course is to better understand how the backend with Firebase works, specifically the user feed, and now I have to buy the source code (Not at a cheap price). If I'm being honest I felt a little bit disappointed. Besides the option for shopping the source code, the course is good.

Just watched a couple videos. Pretty good. Easy to follow. Thank you very much. Updated: I'm now up to Section 6. I've learned a lot and definitely will be learning much more once I finished the course.

Stephan really explains things well, in a relaxed way. At the end of each class, he makes a quick resume of what we made and what we will do on the next class. And, sometimes, at the start of the class, he makes a ~30s recap of what we did on the previous lesson. This is great and I learned a lot during this course. It is totally worth it and very good. So, if it's that good, why am I giving 4 stars and not 5 stars? In this course the instructor builds the main features and views of the Twitter app as promised and as announced. However, the instructor has a separate paid course in his website with more features and improvements that are not included in this course. This alone is not a problem. What is advertised on the course page/overview is what you get. The really annoying thing is that he mentions/announces it many times along the classes and in some classes of the course he shows some features/code that are not included in the Udemy course but in that other course in his website (which costs $40 with 50% off). I don't think this is a honest and professional approach. You could mention/show it on the first class and that's it. Showing/Mentioning these non-included features in this Udemy course in multiple classes is not acceptable. This happens mostly on the last sections of the course. It's really a shame, because I really liked the course and learned a lot and it shows that Stephan knows what he is talking about and I was really hoping to give a 5-star rating but this attitude with constantly advertising the extra-Udemy course with some cool features was really annoying.

He is the truth! I’ve bought all 10 of his courses. Not one complaint ever One thing though. He sells extra features on his site, but he should have videos for those features too. I don’t mind the price but the videos would’ve helped in me just buying the extras with the code.. Buy the course!!!
