VB.NET Introduction (Udemy.com)

The course presenter, Tim Miles, is excellent! He knows his material. He is easy to listen to. He consistently discussed topic material at an appropriate and very understandable level. I highly recommend him and the VB.NET Introduction course.

I think the course overall good, with clear content and explanations. There is an annoying issue with the audio which is unbalanced between left and right audio channels. It would also be good to have access to some material, like code example to download or exercises.

This course is really great. Tim goes through in step-by-step detail. I've struggled to get to grips with programming languages and this really helped. I really felly more quipped. I know I still have loads too learn but I really feel more confident. I have the basic tools now. It's about applying it.

It was a solid course with a lot of good information. It was well structured and the instructor explained things in a clear and concise manner. I would have preferred though, if the projects in the course weren't pre written and instead were written during the course to give more hands on experience.

Very good explanation in audible English language. On my PC it seems that only a single audio track for one ear has been recorded, but after switching Windows into (MONO) mode, the problem has been resolved. Needed to grasp the VB syntax very fast, found this course and it hit the nail right on the head. Love the words Tim uses, it enriched my vocab (e.g.: take the course and find it out yourself ;-)). All in all, this course I recommend to anyone who has got prior experience with Java or C# and needs to switch to VB in few days.

This is excellent introductory course which summarises all important aspect of the VB.Net language and the .NET Framework environment in general. It's meets perfectly my need where I need to grasp the overall VB.Net language attributes for robotics in the shortest time possible. Highly recommended!

I have been writing code in VB for about 20 years (VB3 thru VB6). I had been reluctant to move to VB.Net. This introductory course is both familiar and revealing. Some things are simplified and almost trivial but the differences between the VB I am familiar with and VB.Net have been subtle, surprising and enlightening. I am sometimes frustrated with what the instructor doesn't say in areas that are familiar to me but then extremely grateful when he points out how VB coding differs from VB.Net coding. I think the instructor has done a great job.

This was a great match for me. I polished up my knowledge on VB.Net, and learnt a few new concepts. I only wish there was a transcript of the topics being discussed, and that the instructor pointed the user to the exact course titles that could help the user advance. The conclusion was too vague.

I learned very little from this. Instead of going through the code and writing out each line to learn it, the instructor just shows completed lines, there was no follow along.

It is a great course . The instructor is very knowledgeable and makes the programming concepts which I have always found so complicated to understand , very very easy to understand . I highly recommend this course ! It is a great choice for people who are beginning to learn programming.
