Web Design Fundamentals in Illustrator (Udemy.com)

You show us how to build a grid, a wireframe library, color schemes and fonts. But you forget to put all this together, where is the actual design process? How do I use the grid? What can I achieve with the library? Don't tell me, show me in your course... Waste of time!

I sat through the entire course waiting for some "Web Design Fundamentals in Illustrator," there were none. It was basically how to mock up a website in Illustrator. Thanks, I already knew how to do that. It was a waste of money.

This is an Excellent well structured course for learning how to use Illustrator to design websites. It's not a course about design, its focus is on creating objects for wire framing, and organizing the objects in Illustrator. Dawid shows you how to setup Illustrator, work with its many panels, use the organization features of illustrator, and the best way to save time editing objects. Then he shows you how to create templates, libraries, and build a complete grid system based on bootstrap (which can be applied to any grid system). This is a really good course if you want to build designs in illustrator that easily translate into HTLM/CSS. The course is in CS6 but everything applies to the new CC without a problem. If you take this course you will learn a good workflow and techniques that you help you tremendously in building a faster more refined wire frame and mockup.

I really enjoyed this course, I learned a lot, the lectures are very informative and enjoyable, Mr. Dawid is a gifted teacher, he can present the topics in a very engaging manner. But there is one thing that the potential buyers should know about this course, you learn many great concepts about using illustrator for web design and designing a template for future projects with placeholders for web content but to practice designing a real website and using those concepts you learn in this course, it is advisable to take another course by Mr.Dawid named "How To Design a Website in Illustrator", I highly recommend those two courses together for any one who wants to learn about web design in illustrator.

Design principles that have always eluded me were suddenly made clear and simple after only 90 minutes. Unbelievable! Also, am feeling more comfortable in Illustrator - a tool that I've always struggled with, being so used to Photoshop. But now I'm wondering why I would ever design a website in Photoshop. Even not knowing Illustrator that well, it looks like such a better tool for the job. Only wish we'd actually built out the wireframe. But, am about to take your other class, Design a Corporate Website in Illustrator, which I'm guessing will go through that. Nonetheless, learned a ton in 90 minutes. SO worthwhile. Thank you!!

Very informative course! My only gripe would be that I wish he would explain the shortcuts he was using throughout the course as it was frustrating for me (being new to Illustrator). The content itself was great though!

Before I took this course, I was wondering whether it will be useful for a person like me who already knows how to use illustrator and has some experience + knowledge about web design process. I have even created 3-4 websites. Glad I enrolled in it, the course was really useful because it just it taught how to use Adobe Illustrator to design responsive website wireframes/mockups in SMART WAY. The development of grids and the setting up of artboards, texts, etc, was really informative! It was really made simple and I believe a beginner who just knows how to use illustrator will surely find it much easier than the complicated yet time consuming articles & tutorials.

This course will help out tremendously in getting set up for web design. Takes all the guess work out of the picture and has practical tips to make the process less difficult. This course will save you time! Recommend to any beginner who wants to learn about web design. Also, covers saving in file type(s) before submitting to the client. Awesome instruction. I bought another course from Dawid and I don't regret it. I gained a very interesting knowledge that will facilitate my work in web design. Dawid is a professional teacher who presents topics in a very easy and understandable way and that's why I recommend his courses.
