Course Description

Working with TFS 2015 Dev and QA focused course is designed in such a way that anyone with Zero knowledge in TFS can start learning it and understand how powerful and robust TFS is compared to any other tool available in market.

Team Foundation Server provides a set of collaboration tools that work with your existing IDE or editor, so your team can work effectively on software projects of all shapes and sizes

TFS is more of a

  • Version control system
  • Requirement management system

  • Testing and release management system
  • All, the above is otherwise called as Application Lifecycle Management System

With vNext build definition introduced in Team foundation server 2015, it is now much easier to create build definition steps via GUI interface in TFS 2015 web compared to XAML build definition used in previous versions of TFS.

It is a good course but needs a lot of pre-requisite and understanding of other concepts. I was able to catch up with the first and second part and later parts have a lot of dependencies.

By Mark Quealy on 5/26/2017

Didn't address running a project team

By Stephen Young on 1/1/2017

I like the overview. I needed a quick understanding of 2015 over previous versions. If you are new to TFS, this is a good video but also learning what's new with 2015.

The lecturer is engaging and knowledgeable with his topic. He also speaks very clearly and at a level pace which is important. This is a worthwhile course to take and i am enjoying it.

By Gregory Maccia on 8/5/2016

Covers alot of material in an easy to understand format. Very knowledgeable about TFS and its functionality.

By Troy Thompson on 7/23/2016

English seemed to be a second language, which is fine, that isn't uncommon - but it was difficult to understand some of it and the level of technical expertise seemed low.

By Do Hao Nhien on 6/29/2016

All details information are well organized, and I have a better view about new VSTS now.

By Aydin Atay on 6/21/2016

Everything_was_clear_and_by_the_way_the_space_button_of_the_app_doesnt_work EDIT: but now it works! I still believe the author has very clear lectures, easy to understand.
