Clear Instructions. Enjoyed the course thoroughly

By Judy Staines

I've only run through four of the modules so far, but I do like this course - it is telling me what I need to know at a pace I can cope with. Most Affinity tutorials seem to assume that we already have some vector drawing program experience, and are useless to me. This course assumes nothing and is ideal for an absolute beginner like me. My only small complaint so far is that the sound level is quite low, so that even with my computer sound turned right up, it's only just loud enough when there is background noise of any kind.

By Martin Bornman

Very clear explanations of the different tools and their uses

By Laurie

The instruction is clear and at just the right pace.

By David Veeneman

Presenter is knowledgeable about his subject, but much of the early part of the tutorial involves watching him trace one drawing--unedited. I found this approach somewhat tedious.

By Chris O'Hare

The instructor is good at keeping what he's talking about relevant to what's going on up to where you are in the course. It's easy to stop/pause & experiment w/what he is showing - which was not the case in another course for this app. It's good to have things relate to exactly which lecture/exercise you're working on.

By Glenn Howell

First of all the video quality is very blurry at times, and so far not a very concise course. Let's hope it improves.

By Nigel Brock

Explains the very basics which you really need to know. Worth the money.

By Georg Hasenöhrl

Very good explanation, but resolution of screen is to low, so menu can not always seen

By Roger Mathews

Very clear explanations. Very easy to follow along on Affinity Designer. Especially if you have two screens. I am totally satisfied so far, At last I am learning how to use this program.

By Amr Soliman

The course is very very good for beginners and the instructor is teaching you the basics in a good pace.

By Dek Leverton

Although not a particularly inspiring subject the instructions were both clear and repetitive enough to create a very solid sense of the tools, layers and effects and some of their uses. Anyone who takes the trouble to actually work along with this, stage by stage, should end up feeling quite at home with the Affinity layout. The magnified segments were particularly helpful as I find some of the icons etc rather small on my screen until I am more familiar with them.
