Hey Brad,I had a hard time with Affinity Desigener at the beginning, but I thought Hey try this course, you got nothing to lose (except money haha).I just want to say thank you so much. This course was a big help to learn Affinity Designer for iPad.

Ich habe den Kurs gerade beendet, das Plakat vom Zombie House erstellt und bin zufrieden mit dem, was ich gelernt habe.Ich habe mich aufgrund des Bildes bzw. des Projektes fr diesen Kurs entschieden und war am Ende enttuscht, dass ich nicht in der Lage war, die gleichen Farben zu erzeugen, die Brad im Kurs verwendet hat. Hier wrde ich mir eine Farbpalette mit allen verwendeten Farben wnschen, die ich auf das Artboard ziehen kann. Das wrde mir die Arbeit sehr erleichtern. Wenn ich eigene Farben erzeugen will, kann ich das ja trotzdem tun.Auerdem war es am Anfang extrem schwierig, dem Kurs zu folgen, da am iPad nicht sichtbar war, welche Tasten gedrckt werden. Hier wre eine Einblendung eines Pfeiles oder ein Umkreisen ebenfalls arbeitserleichternd gewesen.Die rechte Seite htte fr die Einblendung aktueller Arbeitsschritte besser genutzt werden knnen als fr die Anzeige des derzeit bearbeiteten Themenbereiches.Die Reihenfolge einiger Lektionen htte sicherlich auch anders geordnet werden knne, z.B. das Gruppieren wrde am Anfang sehr viel Sinn machen, was dann auch bei der ersten Erstellung des Hauses htte angewendet werden knnen.FAZIT:Ich empfehle ALLEN, das Haus erst dann zu zeichnen, wenn es vollstndig erstellt wurde. Ansonsten steht ein HUFIGES ndern von Farben und Details an, was definitiv keinen Spa macht und auch nicht dem Lernprozess frderlich ist.Die Tastenkombinationen (Gesten) sind seit Erscheinen des Kurses stellenweise gendert worden. Diese Gesten irgendwo suchen, so dass man fr die entsprechende Version die zugehrigen Gesten verwendet, weil auch das den Arbeitsablauf unheimlich strt, wenn die angegebenen Gesten nicht zum erwarteten Ergebnis fhren.Der Kurs macht Spa, ist anstrengend, manchmal auch ein wenig nervig. Belohnt wird die Ausdauer mit dem Stolz ber ein abgeschlossenes Projekt und ein schnes Plakat.

What a superb course this is! Brad is an excellent teacher, introducing new concepts in an easy-to-follow, step-by-step way. The content was broken down into manageable video sessions and I really appreciated the list of what was going to be covered in each session as the session progressed. The course was well structured and the project was not only enjoyable, but I learnt so many useful techniques and tips while working on it. I hope Brad will consider doing more courses for the iPad, particularly in Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo and also Procreate.

This course was amazing, but I didn't expect anything less from Brad, having followed him on youtube for a long while.I'm by no means an expert at (vector) illustration but I've always felt fairly comfortable with hopping into new software. I wasn't expecting to pick up so many tricks and tips (especially with the gestures). I've definitely picked up time-savers that will help me in the future. I also learnt what some features actually do on a technical level rather than just take them for granted.I'm looking forward to practicing more, especially now that I'm about 4 times faster with the pen tool!

Great course for beginners, and a good way to get started with the main tools.Sometimes I wish the fonctions and gestures were clearer but due to ipad format we can't see everything (unlike a mouse on a computer). Also, the course could enhance more the good practices for a pro use, but we're more here in a general overview. It definitely made me want to go further.Good value overall.
