Testimonials from my courses
"The best course i have seen about ios programming. The guy is the best instructor i have ever seen. It has a nice way of saying them. And its the first i see to give the same importance not only in the code but also in the design. Continue your good job. 100% percent recommend it." - Lefteris Altouvas
"I have taken other courses by some other instructors that were ok, but I have not been as fired up about any of them as I am about this one. Mark's teaching style is great and this course truly has a "bootcamp" feel for much less money than an actual bootcamp. Access to Mark to ask questions is great both through the forums as well as github/gitter. Highly recommend this course if you are looking for something in the iOS/Swift Development category." - Jack Davis
"He has this way of teaching that captivates your attention and makes all the ones and zeros come to life. Mark taught me that learning computer science doesn't have to be the way it was in college, simply put: boring, time-consuming, and overwhelming. He mentored me in the course materials and I am an even better developer today and I make a lot more money too, all because of the example Mark set and the individual time he spent with me.
Seriously, an hour spent with this man teaching you technical subjects will be worth 100 hours spent in another course or bootcamp taught by someone else" - Erik Slack
"It is obvious that he is passionate about teaching coding. He makes sometimes dry subjects very entertaining with his humor and overall teaching style. He never loses patience with students and takes the time to make sure you understand.
Mark also goes the extra mile with students. Whenever I would be stuck or in need of help on a project he would take time to help me. I was lucky he took the time to get to know me and assist in the understand subjects I had difficulty with." - Jacob Evans
"...More impressive is his ability to teach. He's patient, optimistic, and able to take complex ideas and teach them with examples and in ways that are digestible, energetic, and fun. He's taught bootcamps and mentored many developers that I know. As a teacher and mentor, I couldn't give anyone a higher recommendation. If you can enlist his tutelage, you're in good hands." - Jonathan Wood
"Mark is a smart, experienced, patient mentor, teacher and iOS Engineer. As I have gone from knowing nothing about iOS to full fledge iOS engineer Mark has been there every step of the way to both guide and encourage." - Pearson Basham creator of NoThyme iOS App

This course provides an excellent overview of how to make tvOS apps, including TVML and SpriteKit. If you are looking for an intro course, this is NOT for you, as knowledge of the instructor's iOS 9 development course is presumed. As such, at times, the instructor's explanations of complex code are a bit terse. I also think the course might benefit from the instructor guiding students through the creation of one or two more "basic" tvOS apps (i.e., those without TVML or SpriteKit). That said, overall, this is a great course, which I highly recommend to anyone looking to expand their knowledge of Apple development to the TV platform.

Although the course started off a bit slowly paced (as a complete intro), it has picked up and we are moving at a much faster pace. I'm pretty happy with the course so far (though I have to say that I'm not a fan of TVML. Why Apple? Why? - not Mark's fault). I'm currently working on the Retro Skate App, and that's quite a bit of fun. The only criticism I have for this course is how after the Retro Skate Section, we exit tvOS programming and dive into a Swift / OO course. The rest of the course was great, and Mark is a fantastic teacher.

I TOTALLY love this tvOS Course you did; especially with all the Photo Shop lessons. I always stayed away from Photoshop since it looks so much TODO and know nothing of it and all other tutorials I seen they act like I know what am doing. You keep it simple! People get one class but double tutorials!!!!!! Well worth the money even if you do not care about tvOS, you will learn Photo Shop on some simple stuff that makes awesome icons.... THANK YOU!!! Plus this is an awesome multi platform resource as you can read; CHATROOM We have hit over 1200 students in the chatroom! If you haven't joined the chatroom you can do that here: http://devslopes.com/?utm_content=educational&utm_campaign=2015-12-09&utm_source=email-sendgrid&utm_term=14214490&utm_medium=611936 Often answers are given immediately in the chatroom vs the Udemy discussions (which can take a couple of days) I have been blown away with all of the help you have been giving each other every day! So thanks! And also THANKS A LOT for all of the donations on my website - it really helps me keep new courses coming out!

I found this course to be an excellent intro into the tvOS. I really liked the Retro Skater project as I haven't had much exposure to SpriteKit, so this was a happy bonus. The videos are produced well with errors and bugs in the code corrected as you watch (which I like) instead of being edited out. Mark has an upbeat and energetic way of showing you his workflow and ways of developing. He does make you work for best coding practices yourself but tells you when he is deviating from them for the sake of keeping the videos moving and learning new things instead of watching him type code. I found this to be an excellent companion to his iOS 9 & Swift 2: From Beginner to Paid Professional course.

Excellent course. Mark preps students to be able to take off on their own after the course. Goes through his taught process on creating the apps, best practices, design, debugging and other useful habits. The section on TVML is fantastic! The design section is an added bonus especially for new developers. Only possible improvement is more courses on the Native TV Apps section. A continuation to have a fully functional popular movies app would be helpful for those of us who are still kinda new to Xcode. Enjoying the course so far.

The course teaches you a ton and provides a lot of great examples so that you can practice as you learn. Mark even teaches you how to navigate Apple's App submission process. I would recommend beginner programmers take a look at Section 8 (Swift Refresher) before starting the regular material so that you can brush up on Swift 2 before diving into tvOS. I do wish he included a little more of his Swift 2 lecture series so that students could have a really solid foundation as they start learning tvOS. Also, this course is recorded in 1080p which makes reading the coding in his lectures SIGNIFICANTLY easier on the eyes than the 720p resolution most other courses use. Overall, I would definitely recommend the course to a friend.

I'm a long time developer and I've seen MANY courses teaching many subjects and I must say this is one of the better ones I've seen. Mark takes the time to explain the reasons for what he's teaching and encourages the viewer to experiment on their own. He also demonstrates one of the best techniques for learning to code: reviewing working code. If you are serious about being a developer you need to dig into the frameworks you use and not just do things by rote. He also encourages the student to read the documentation. Mark's delivery is engaging and entertaining and it's obvious he knows what he's talking about. I highly recommend this course.

If you need support or have any questions regarding this class...good luck. First the class support was on one website, then they changed it to https://discordapp.com. I asked a question regarding one of the challenges in the class about extending the app and having the data show up, but Mark doesn't respond like he says he would in his intro video. Support would be good, especially for a new platform.

Currently the best tvOS course on Udemy. Mark has done all the hard work by searching through Apples tvOS documentation and brings us the results in clear, concise lessons. He's engaging and the delivery is as good as in any other course I've taken. If you're interested in tvOS development, the differences in its implementation compared to iOS, and the specifics of tvOS itself then this course if for you.

Honestly, this is one of the best courses I have ever taken. The instructor is very knowledgeable and explains exactly what he is doing and why. Also, he provides real world tips on what you should and should not do as a coder. Admittedly I am learning a great deal and look forward to more courses and videos by this instructor. I really appreciate the time and thought put into this course. As previously mentioned this is one of the best-taught courses on udemy! Simply amazing and worth every penny! Thank you Mr. Price for sharing your knowledge and expertise!
